Exciting News!!! I am beyond proud to announce several collaborations coming our way involving other liked-minded communities run by individuals that are as equally enthusiatic about sharing their knowledge and passion for all things biology!!! Our first wonderful collaborator is Ms. Deidonra Chalwell and her Microbiology Community Community Description: "🧫 Microbiology with Dede is a microbiology study community focused on helping ASCP, AMT, and other healthcare/science students prepare for their exams while making microbiology easier to understand through organism breakdowns, study discussions, recall questions, ASCP (M) review content, and interactive learning in a supportive and collaborative environment." Second is Mr. Shahroze Abbas and his Community focusing on Bioinformatics Community Description: "The Bioinformatics Skool is a community focused on teaching biologists and early career bioinformaticians data science and programming foundations while applying these skills towards life science problems. Members will start by understanding different workspace options and how to manage tedious installations then move towards building analysis workflows for singlecell datasets. This includes multi-modality analysis for RNA, ATAC and proteomics. More to come including spatial analysis and snakemake for workflow design." These are both amazing and highly educated individuals with extensive experience in their respective fields. Please check out and join their communities, which I have linked above. Stay tuned for collaborative projects together that will highlight THE real-world overlap between our three seemingly separate areas of study :)!!!

Hello and Welcome Fellow Biology Nerds! Let's get to know each other :)
Hey everyone! Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I will be passing down my knowledge to any and everyone who is even remotely interested in learning about the fascinating world of molecular and cellular biology. As I continue to create and roll out new content, please feel free to comment on this post with a few key pieces of information: 1) Introduce yourself (What sound do we make to get your atttention? i.e. your name). 2) Share a cool or funny fact about yourself or the world in general. 3) What peeked your interest, if anything, in this nerdy stuff? 4) If you're a huge animal lover like I am go ahead and share a pic of your furry baby! Oh, and if you already have a few ideas racing around inside your skull about topics you potentially like see discussed also feel free to drop those in the comments below as well :). Let's get started shall we?

@Sonia Lolly hey so sorry for the late response been so busy getting all of this up and running. I would love to teach you regardless of your level of knowledge :). Stay tuned for my first post this week!
@Deiondra Chalwell super excited to have you on the community and can’t wait to start learning and growing together!
The Gates Have Been Unlocked i.e. All Course Material is Free/Open Access
Hey Science Peeps, First and foremost I would like to thank all of you in the community, particularly @Kenneth Reese and @Federico Bresciani , who provided their insightful feedback on my previous post and also directly to me via my DMs. This will always be appreciated and please keep it up. After some consideration, I have decided to allow access to all current course material within the "Classroom" free and available to all members!!! Considering how this community is still in the very early stages of development, I feel it would be best to not "gatekeep" anything at least for the time being. I am also brainstorming more ways for us to interact with each other either through more informative and interactive posts and also through video calls/meetings where we can actually have the chance to meet one another. So stay tuned for all of that and more contents coming soon! :)

General Feedback
Hey Fellow Biology Nerds! Happy/Tolerable Monday! I just wanted to touch base with everyone regarding a few quick things: 1) Is everyone receiving notifications/emails when I upload new content to the Classroom and/or make posts here on the Community page? 2) What is everyone's general takeaway from the posted content so far including both the first PCR video and the 2 follow up videos that become available with a subscription. I want to make sure the quality of the content is up to your standards, and I would love to hear any and all feedback from you peeps :). 3) If I started to hold live "science and coffee" sessions soon just to chit chat would this be of interest to any of you? I perosnally would love to get to know alot of you more personally in order to truly create a sense of community amongst ourselves. If so what times and days of the week would be best for everyone? Feel free to leave feedback in the comments below. FYI next video coming out hopefully sometime this week so stay tuned!!!

@Federico Bresciani Heard definitley about content being free. I suppose for now until true momentum gets going here I can make at least a portion of the material free. My end goal personally with this community along with of course building the community and sharing my knowledge is to leverage my collective experience and knowledge to produce some sort of income that would allow me to focus even more on its development, which I feel is fair. Is the $9 a month subscription fee to high? I thought that would be low enough in order to not be a significant financial barrier for most folks.

Yeah I see what you mean, and perhaps this is my sign to implement that until I become more established. Thank you for the honest feedback, and to answer your question we do get paid more than $9 an hour here in the U.S. although like that really makes a difference haha.
3rd Video is Live!!!
Hey Fellow Science Enthusiasts! The next video for the PCR course is finally up and ready to go. The topic this time around is on how we visualize our amplified DNA from successful PCRs on agarose gels using a technique known as gel electrophoresis. Thank you all again for your patience. I grossly underestimated how much time and effort this particular topic was going to take, but it's finally done. I would love to start taking topic suggestions for future videos so don't hesistate to drop a comment here in the main community page :)!!!
