Do you over-commit?
Good Morning and Happy Wednesday everyone. Do any of you feel like you've ever committed to something that's turning out to be too time consuming but now that you're in it....you have to finish it, because "that's who you are," or "what would it say about ME if I didn't see this through to completion?" If so, what's your process? When this happens with me I don't typically feel resentment, but I do massively deplete and find myself exhausted. How do you handle things like this - or are you able to recognize it beforehand?

Yes! I don’t like to stop or give up once I start something. I’m trying to be better not to say yes at the beginning by stopping and thinking will this make my life better or no? Years ago I signed up to get a masters degree and it’s kicking my behind. Taking so much time but it’s free and I have 1 class left. I go back and forth do I drop it or finish.
How old would you be, if you didn’t know how old you were?
I’m 24. At 24 I was living in California working for Patagonia. I was falling asleep on the beach on Sundays after Mimosa brunches with friends. I was skiing Mammoth mountain, rock climbing with my roommates, and dancing until the bars closed. I still love the memories of few responsibilities and doing things I loved whenever I wanted to do them. I then got into marriage and life and kids and growing up. Now- I still think of that unbridled freedom. Not sad for the 30 years since, but recognizing that girl is still in here. She just likes to be in bed by 9 now. How about you?

24 seems like a good year. I don’t remember where I was at exactly but I bet it was good. I remember being care free as well. Going line dancing with friends and no cares in the world. Your description of the beach, mountains, friends, and mimosas sounds amazing. Sounds like a song too!
