@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez lately the screenshare with audio for YouTube music has been bugged, lot of people can't here screenshare audio every, sometime people can here one presenter but not the other, most times the errors are on desktop because in Skool Webinar you cannot select our output device for the call, whereas mobile only has the one option being prioritized so there's less issues there.. it's been about 10 weeks of testing.

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez don't get me wrong it works! It's just a little rough right now and most are still using Zoom Webinar for larger stuff.
No Skool News today, but...
Today's Educate Coffee Chat is live for everyone. We'll be probably on for an hour or so.

Skool Friends Live recording
Hey friends, @Patrice Simoneau invited me, @Sarah Hankins, and Matt to chat a couple of days ago. I think it was a good one. You can fast forward past the food talk if you only want the Skool stuff 😉 Here's what we actually talked about: - Is Skoolers even a real community? (Spoiler: we have thoughts) - The cost of convenience - why being in a community requires actual effort - How the hobby plan changed everything (100k+ new members is... a lot) - Why we don't spend as much time in Skoolers anymore (and it's not what you think) - The search bar being a literal money printer that nobody uses - Engagement farming vs real value - Alex Hormozi's "no questions allowed" rule and whether that would kill most communities Real talk moments: Marcin basically said he got bored with answering the same questions over and over. Not in a mean way - just honest. When you're trying to help people but it feels like moderating instead of adding value, that hits different. Sarah (second person to hit level 9, btw) pointed out something cool - they're finally pinning newbie posts and highlighting communities that aren't making six figures a month. That's the kind of culture shift we're here for. Matt brought up something that made me think - every community has a cost of convenience. You can't just scroll and consume. You have to put in effort. And yeah, that's harder than Instagram, but that's also why the relationships here actually matter. The sandwich debate: - Matt says ice cream sandwiches are the objective best (hard to argue) - Ketchup chips are apparently a Canadian thing and we need them at Skool events - BLTs are underrated - This took up way more time than it should have and we're not sorry Bottom line - if you're struggling with engagement or wondering why your community feels quiet, this conversation might help. We're not claiming to have all the answers. We're just people who've been doing this for a while and are still figuring it out.

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez 🤣 "This took up way more time than it should have and we're not sorry"
Merry Christmas everybody! 🎄🌟🎅
I have a little gift for you this year. I just added a course from my paid group to the classroom, and it's available for you for free till the end of the year. If you're on the premium tier it will stay free after the new year too. The course is a bit over an hour, but is divided into nice short digestible chunks, so you should be able to plow through it in one sitting. The course is called Sales & Marketing Basics and it should quickly bring you up to speed in terms of the foundational concepts of selling and marketing. Let me know how you like! And have a great Holiday!
Merry Christmas everybody! 🎄🌟🎅
