Help for Christina Family's Brink
*The Harsh Reality of Brick Kiln Slavery in Pakistan In the brick kilns of Pakistan, families are trapped in a relentless cycle of modern slavery. They work tirelessly to repay loans, earning just $1 a day, often without knowing how much they owe or when they might be free. With no contracts or clear terms, their debts only grow, and hope fades as they toil in unbearable conditions, forced to meet impossible quotas under the scorching sun. Pakistan ranks eighth in the global slavery index, with over 3 million people enslaved, many of them women and children. These vulnerable families, desperate for survival, are condemned to generations of bondage. The Christian community is the largest among the people working in brick kilns in Pakistan and a big conspiracy is made to trap them in this work. Most of our Christian people in Pakistan are less educated and first they are tricked into signing a contract and there it is written about working with low wages and consent. When our people put their thumbs there, they are abused. They are made to work all day and they get 1 dollars for making 1,000 bricks, which makes their life very difficult. And if they get sick or someone in the family gets sick, the money that is given to them in the form of a loan becomes a never-repayable amount and due to the low wages in the first place, they cannot pay off this loan and if they try, they are trapped in different ways.
