Build The Room vs Get In The Room
One of the biggest audience growth mistakes I see? People think they have to choose between hosting their own event OR participating in someone else's. The truth? You need both. 🎤 Build the room = host your own summit, bundle, challenge, workshop, or event. 🤝 Get in the room = speak at events, participate in bundles, guest on podcasts, collaborate with others. One builds authority. One builds visibility. One creates opportunities. One helps you borrow audiences. The magic happens when you do both. So tell me... 👇 Which one are you focusing on right now? 🎤 Building the room 🤝 Getting in the room Or both?

@Julie Butler it has to be repeated maybe many more times as the Younger generation might not grasp this as Easily. Or what say Thee?
🔥 You Don't Need Another Strategy
Can I be honest? A lot of people don't have a visibility problem. They have a decision problem. They spend months trying to decide: Should I start a podcast? Host a summit? Create a bundle? Start a Skool group? Blog? Pinterest? YouTube? Meanwhile... Someone else picked ONE thing, stuck with it for 6 months, and now has momentum. The truth? Most growth strategies work. Most people quit too soon. What's something you've started and stopped more than once in your business?

@Monna Tang well, there's other ways to do it too. Why would you do it alone? Do it together with somebody else, maybe one or two other people. I'd suggest start with one, it makes things a little easier when it comes to decision-making. Find somebody that complements your skills, meaning they have different skills than you do and different contacts. Also, as you start thinking about it, see what other people are doing. See if you could shadow somebody that's doing an event and kind of look over their shoulder a little bit. What is their to-do list looking like? What is their checklist looking like? How do they find venues? How do they enroll speakers? What's it going to take? How much money does it cost? And all of these things. If you start mapping those things out and get in behind the scenes, maybe even find somebody that you can shadow/that can mentor you, that might be a good place to start.

🎙️ Why Your Email List Isn’t Converting
Opening emails and actually BUYING? Very different things 👀 In this new podcast episode of The Virtual Summit Show, I’m chatting with @Laura Kendrick about: ✨ why subscribers stay “stuck” ✨ what actually builds buyer trust ✨ common email mistakes ✨ and how to create a list that converts instead of just growing numbers Because a big email list means very little if nobody is taking action 💛 Listen here 🎧https://juliecbutler.com/email-list-not-converting/ Curious… What do YOU think matters more: list size or connection/trust? 👀

I think connection and trust matter a lot. However, also how often you communicate and whether you communicate to the values that this person is interested in. For instance, if they're in a group that focuses on doing live concert events, but this person is only interested in doing local events with smaller groups, so you're not talking the same language. They're basically in the wrong group. Then that matters, I think, first. They can trust and like you as much as they want, but they're not going to respond if you're not talking the language and talking to the right people about what it is that they're there for. So that would be my input.

Here is Why This Is For you, The Event Planner, the Person that has all the Contacts and that All their Friends CALL when they wonder: "Hey, Dude...what You doing for 4th of July.....New Years, Halloween.... and God knows. Is that YOU or someone you know? Well, that was me when I started out in College and I had arrived from another country (Read: Norway) and I had very few friends there. ...then a classmate of mine, Sam, asked me if I would like to throw a little party at his friends local bar not far away from the university.... he had a "motive"... he wanted to meet all the beautiful Scandinavian girls I was hanging out with... ....so Of Course I said YES.... .....we packed the place with 250 people...and the rest it history... I since went on to build an email list of over 20,000 people and took over the most fancy hotels and event spaces in San Francisco... and one included a Huge Halloween Ball at San Francisco, City Hall with over 5,000 people. How Can You Help Me... and How can I help You, or someone you know?: 1. I am looking for Event Planners, or People that Have the Network, but they do NOT know how to Monetize it...as I have over 22+ years of experience in organizing Social events for my Friends of Friends network. ...they can be 18, 21 or 45+ yrs.... as long as they are connected. 2. I have all kinds of insights as to how to get people to attend an event, simply by following the 20x20=400 formula,.... ask me that question and I will show you how you can get 400 people to show up at your event "LIKE THAT". If any of this "jives with you"...then let me know and we can set up a quick 15 talk. Here is my link and I am looking forward to connecting with you all: https://tidycal.com/alfmarcussen/party-promoter-discovery-call Sincerely, Alf
