One of the companions of the Prophet PBUH, was initially against the Prophet. They did not stand for Islam at this time, to the point that they confronted their family member who had become Muslim. After this altercation, there was a change in their heart. They sought forgiveness from their Lord, and became one of the greatest companions, may Allah be pleased with them all. Why tell you this story out of all the possible stories? In the same way that our Prophet PBUH could not change this companion through words alone, some things take a spark in one’s life before they change or even consider change. No Muslim can deny Muhammad S.A.W was the greatest of all creation and that extends to his conversations. This companion knew Muhammad was trustworthy and came with helpful knowledge, but still wanted nothing to do with what Muhammad brought. How can I even compare to that? Truth be told I cannot hold a candle to our Prophet PBUH. But I do know that if he experienced the same thing I am going through, then it is completely out of my hands who comes forward and who does not. I wish to help any young Muslim that has ambition to pursue their Deen but doesn’t know where to start. Every young Muslim that played by the rules in the West and still got penalized. Every young Muslim that feels hurt when they see non-Muslims obtaining wealth that they throw away while they would have used that for their parents, their Sadaqat, or Hajj. My question, dear reader, is if you have made it this far, will you listen to reason? Will you hear me now, and accept it? Or will you turn from it until life shows you differently, as with the Companion? You can’t change Qadr. But you can change yourself, and Allah can change your situation. Let’s help you find out how you can start.
