Video 7: The Scale
This video explained how to level up your business. This is always appreciated as I prefer not to stay stagnant. It might be a little harder for me as I currently have a full time job during the day, but I’ll figure it out. Thank you @Dispatcher University for the 7 videos. All were informative and captured my interest. What did you guys think? Next mission for me is working on these worksheets to find my niche. 😉

First Carrier!
Hello everyone! I love numbers, and just want to give you some information. I started this free course on the 5th of March, today is the 19th of March, and I got my first carrier. For everyone who says "cold calls not working": I made 194 cold calls, and on the 194th call, I got my first client, 3 trucks contract signed. Dont lesson people who say this or that - not working. Build your theory and try it, spend 1-3 days on calls, and trust me, you will not lose anything. Even if you do not get carrier you will have a huge experience with phone calls. Good luck, everyone! 😁

@Jevgeni Stepanov CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! One of many!!!!!
I need help
Hello, Thank you, I really appreciate it. I wanted to ask for some guidance because I’m currently facing a challenge with my dispatching business. Right now I am working to obtain carriers, but most of the truckers I connect with have brand new authority (less than 3–6 months) and many of them are not fully compliant with broker requirements yet. Because of that, a lot of brokers will not work with them at this stage. What ends up happening is that I spend a lot of time helping these carriers with full back-office setup, compliance, and dispatch preparation, but we are unable to actually book loads due to their authority age or missing compliance items. This makes it difficult to generate income consistently, even though I am putting in a lot of time helping carriers get prepared. I also wanted to ask another question: when a carrier does not already have their compliance items completed and I assist them with setting up their paperwork, profiles, and back-office compliance, is it standard practice to charge a separate compliance or setup fee, in addition to the dispatch percentage? I would really appreciate any advice on:• Better ways to find established carriers with active authority• Strategies dispatchers use to work around new authority restrictions• Whether it is common to charge a compliance/setup fee when carriers need that work completed Any insight or direction would be extremely helpful. Thank you again.

@Antjuan Redmond sounds to me like you are wearing the shoes of a "consultant". Spending time helping carriers get compliant, yeah you should get paid!!! Time is valuable, sounds like you found a niche where your service is needed. Use that "gift" and get paid!!!

Operations 👀
OK, so I want to hear from the community how you are planning on running your business. What percentage are you investing back into the business and what percentage are you paying yourself? Are you going to keep your own books or are you hiring a bookkeeper/accountant? Once you start scaling, are you stopping at "just enough" or are you going to hire/train dispatchers to dispatch for you while you concentrate on scaling? Are we dreaming of "just enough" or going for it all like @Gurpreet Gill !! PS. I'm using @Dispatcher University to train my dispatchers!!! 😉
