6 contributions to Construction Automation & AI
Can you really use AI in Construction?
The short and definitive answer is YES Emails, Letters, Reports, Simplifying, Brainstorming Websites Templates Understanding costs Winning (or losing) arguments Cash Flow Projections Mentoring & Coaching This is just 11 off the top of my head. You just need to know what to ask the AI to get the best results. That's the whole point of this group. I've been using AI for writing and everything else for about 4.5 years now and have learnt some stuff along the way. Let's pass on the knowledge so everyone wins. What's your best piece of advice?

AI vs Automation (for construction) What's the difference?
Everyone's talking about it at the moment, AI & Automation. They seem to get tagged together, but there's a huge difference between the 2. I just wanted to give you my view on it AI = thinks and drafts (writing). Like a smart apprentice. - Turns rough notes into an RFI draft. - Writes a client update from bullet points. - Summarises meeting notes into actions. Automation = does the clicks on a schedule. A bit like a conveyor belt. - Sends the RFI to the right people every time. - Files the report and CCs the team at 4pm. - Creates tasks and reminds owners on due dates. (and reminds you) “Artificial intelligence… enables computers and machines to simulate human learning, comprehension, problem solving, decision making, creativity and autonomy.” — IBM. “Automation is the application of technology… to achieve outcomes with minimal human input.” — IBM. Together: AI drafts it → Automation sends it. Quick question: What’s one task you want AI to draft or Automation to send for you this week? Comment: “AI – [task]” or “Automation – [task]”.
