@Preston Oldfield no. Even if broken, there's no treatment for a broken finger I've been told so no point going
Advice??
Ive been given the opportunity to play for a very high level ability team in the jpl. The only catch is that, to join them I would need to join both their sat and sun teams - Sunday is my team with my class mates. My question is, is it worth pushing myself to go to the higher ability or stay with friends - Anyone got experience where they've done this?
End of Season
Has everyone's season ended now - has your team booked many tournaments? - we've still got another four games left. Got three tournaments booked as well 😊

@Preston Oldfield good luck in the final 🤘
Does your team encourage passing from the back
Does your team encourage passing? - my team are always encouraging me to offer for throw ins and on free kicks and the more we do it, the more my team mates trust me - it opens up play and creates spaces. The benefits have been massive for our team. Do other teams do this or do managers panic when they see GK with a ball at their feet.

@Preston Oldfield yeah. Agreed. I do think a ball playing GK, if you can encourage it from a young age, will be priceless for a team. There aren't many GKs that can do it at the moment, but ball playing GKs wasn't encouraged 10 - 20 years ago when the current GKs started. If you can start early, I believe they will benefit massively

@Frankie-Jackson Jones I would never encourage a kid to make a mistake on purpose. But then, if they do make a mistake, don't shout at them for it, explain what they could of done differently so that they independently make the right choice the next time. I'm all against coaches giving instructions - they should be thought provoking questions, so kids make their own choice i.e GK can we offer here on the throw in or GK could we push up higher
Trials
Any tips that can be shared for trials? Harley has been invited to try out for an EJA u13 team.holding trials, so any little pointers would be welcome on top of me say, just do what you do.

Main thing is footwork. Which is crazy but this is above goalkeeping ability. Going up the ages, the requirement to make saves is less and less in a game ( unless your being dominated all game) so they will be looking to see how good the footwork is - always being available for a pass
