KPV & Obesity?!
Could KPV help slow the formation of new fat cells? New study released! Until now KPV has primarily lived in the “gut and inflammation” category. Many of us use KPV for its potential effects on: • Intestinal inflammation and inflammatory bowel conditions • Gut-barrier integrity • Inflammatory skin and wound-healing applications • Antimicrobial defense • Broader inflammatory signaling But a new study is looking at KPV through an entirely different lens ⭐️fat-cell formation and metabolic health⭐️ Researchers first studied mouse-derived precursor cells that can be triggered to mature into fat cells. ➡️ When KPV was added, fewer cells completed that conversion, lipid and triglyceride accumulation decreased, and key fat-formation signals—including PPARγ and fatty acid synthase—were reduced. ➡️ Researchers then gave oral KPV to mice eating a high-fat diet. Compared with untreated mice on the same diet, the KPV group experienced less weight gain, less white-fat expansion, less liver enlargement, and healthier blood-lipid and liver-stress markers. Food intake was similar between the groups, suggesting the difference wasn’t simply caused by eating less. Why does this matter? Fat tissue can expand because existing fat cells grow larger and because precursor cells mature into new fat cells—a process called adipogenesis. KPV appeared to influence that process while also affecting the ROS/AKT/mTORC1/PPARγ pathway involved in fat formation and lipid storage. Could this eventually matter for people with obesity, metabolic dysfunction, elevated lipids, or fatty-liver risk? Possibly. Could it someday be investigated alongside long-term weight-maintenance strategies? Also possible. Proven in people? Not yet. This is another example of how much we are still learning about peptides that were originally placed into one narrow category. KPV & Obesity?!
Women’s Hormone Optimization
About eight weeks ago, I began a clinician-guided, low-dose testosterone injection protocol 10 mg/week of T Cypionate which I split into 3 doses. Before starting, I enrolled in Rythm Health’s (Check out Rythm Health - use my link https://rythm.health/jessica-fd0j for $20 off your first test.) monthly blood-testing subscription. Seeing my results over time—rather than relying on one isolated test—gave me a much clearer picture of what was happening. I was honestly shocked by how low my Total Testosterone was, while my Estrogen and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) were elevated. Those numbers didn’t tell the whole story by themselves, but together with my symptoms and health history, they gave me a baseline from which to develop a strategy - for nutrition, workouts and supplements, along with choosing to move forward with Testosterone treatments. And honestly? I was tired of the runaround. I was tired of feeling that something was off while repeatedly hearing that everything looked “normal.” I know many women here have experienced that same frustration. Eight weeks into treatment, the difference has felt profound for me. I’ve noticed: • More consistent energy • Improvements in body composition • Increased lean muscle mass • A stronger response to my training In addition to starting T, I also modified my supplements by incorporating DIM to balance Estrogen, Boron to help with getting the SHBG numbers down and liver supplements. I also plan to start a Glutathione protocol in the next week or so. That is my personal experience—not a promise of what someone else will experience and not a claim that testosterone is right for every woman. Hormone therapy is highly individual and requires appropriate evaluation, dosing and medical monitoring. I’ll also say that I did in fact experience water weight gain - about 5 lbs, which I’ve been managing with microdosing Tirz. This is very common as your body adjusts. You may find you’re hungrier - especially if you’re strength training consistently. https://felixchem.is/product/peptide-t-10mg/refer/5549/
