Hey everyone! I’m Ontkean Maynard, a pastor and hospital chaplain with a heart for ministry that heals, restores, and walks honestly with people through real life. I’m especially passionate about spiritual formation, emotional health, and helping the church become a true place of refuge. One of my favorite spiritual books is Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala because it reminds me that lasting ministry flows from prayer, humility, and dependence on the Holy Spirit, not programs or performance. My favorite biblical characters is Peter, because his journey shows that failure is never final when grace is at work. The Bible text that encourages me most is Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” That promise helps me realize that Jesus is responsible for completing the work. That grounds me and keeps me hopeful.
