Hey everyone, I hope you’re keeping well and are having a good weekend. I’ve been navigating through some wonderful experiences by choosing who I spend my time with - focus being with like minded souls. I’m also continuing to do things for myself. I’m off to a breathwork session tomorrow, followed by a cacao and sound healing journey. I’ve worked with the facilitators before and I’m embracing myself for moving forward and becoming whole and worthy.

@Karen Winstone Hi Karen, I’m good thanks, how are you feeling? I was out hiking yesterday and doing some writing in the evening. I’ve not moved too much today but have been meditating this morning and I’m off to the gym later. I’m also heading to a yoga and sound and sound bath session tonight which I’m looking forward to. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling with emotional rejection - I totally resonate with that. Just allow it to pass and be mindful of what you can learn from the experience. I was really absorbed by that book and I truly admire Bessel Van Der Kolk’s work around the subject of trauma and the healing process. I actually just finished listening to a podcast that featured the author. One key takeaway is that community is key for moving through trauma which aligns with the way we have connected through here. Hey everyone, hope you’re having a good weekend! I went to the Aberdeen Health and Wellbeing Festival today and it was great to connect with some holistic friends. I also attended a few workshops which reinforced my insights around self awareness, being present, and letting go so we can move forward with a sense of clarity.

@David Smith it was great to learn how even the small setbacks of everyday life such as the shorter days, colder weather, unable to do everyday activities due to being snowed in etc can have a profound impact on our motivation. I attended a workshop where we explored concepts such as these, but it all comes down to mindset. Yes, things like this happen, but these are only for short periods and they do pass. One of the key takeaways was to understand and appreciate what we can do, i.e. read a book, find ways to connect to ourselves, create community and share these experiences so we don’t feel like we’re on our own. In essence, these are all gifts for growth as it’s also about perspectives.

Morning everyone, hope you’re well. I really appreciated the sound bath last night and it was great to be amongst friendly souls. I did my morning meditation practice using the app Insight Timer which I would totally recommend. I’ve been using this for a few years now and it’s a great to connect to myself, be present and remain grounded.

@Stephanie Western Have a look for holistic healers across your community. I would also consider trying Reiki as another way to connect to your body. But with all these modalities, it’s a practice, think of it like going to the gym but for your mind.
