1 contribution to All Jesus: Overcoming Anxiety
🛑 The Trap of a Racing Mind (And How to Step Out of It)
Hey everyone, Overthinking is exhausting. When your mind is racing at 100 miles per hour, analyzing every "what if" scenario, you aren't actually solving problems—you're just drowning out your peace. Constant overthinking is the exact opposite of living by faith. It's our human nature trying to control things we were never meant to carry. Faith means trusting that God has the script, even when we can't see the next page. If your mind is loud today, lean into these reminders: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:6-7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." — 1 Peter 5:7 You don't have to figure it all out tonight. Let's quiet the noise together. See you on YouTube (ajatt888) at 8:00 PM for our nightly pocket of peace. Come unpack the day and leave the racing thoughts behind. 🤍

@Dave Blake This really resonates, Dave. One thing I've noticed is that overthinking often tricks us into believing we're being productive, when in reality we're just carrying burdens we were never meant to carry alone. The reminder from Philippians 4:6-7 is powerful because it shifts the focus from trying to control every outcome to bringing everything before God and trusting Him with it. Thank you for sharing this.

@Dave Blake I appreciated your reply on the post, One thing I've noticed is that people often connect most with someone who is walking the journey alongside them rather than someone who claims to have everything figured out. That's one of the reasons I think your message resonates. By the way, when you first started sharing about anxiety and faith online, was it through YouTube, or did the community idea come first?
