First, create one clear purpose for the community so people instantly understand why they should stay and participate. Second, set up two or three weekly routines such as a question of the week or a small challenge so members have something to respond to. Third, add one welcome post that guides new members on what to do next and where to start. These three steps alone make a new community feel alive.
