Council Work
Hey guys, just seeing if anyone here has council contracts and what they are charging per panel? My residential jobs are not based per panel, just my commercial. This is my first time quoting for the council and there is a ton of work if I get this job . This particular job is 80 panels and on a single storey community centre. My normal price for 80 panels would be $8 per panel +GST. Any help in what to include would be amazing. Cheers guys Rhys

Hi Rhys, congrats on the opportunity; I’ve quoted numerous council and commercial installs and, bluntly, $8/ 8/panel is likely underpriced for council work because of the extra compliance, administration, and access costs involved. When you quote, make it an itemised, fixed-price proposal with clear line items for: scope (modules, inverters, racking, cabling, labour), site-specific plant (scaffolds/hoists, traffic/park management, crane or lift hire), safety & compliance (WHS plan, SWMS, asbestos checks, electrical test certificates),
