SIN is not condemnation unto hell
It is loss of contact with reality caused by fear-based separation. Once again, sin is NOT: - rule-breaking - moral failure - inherent badness - something God is offended by - a legal debt requiring punishment Those are secondary interpretations layered on later. Sin is misalignment. It is: - disconnection from the body - disconnection from truth - disconnection from relational reality - disconnection from love as lived experience - in biblical language: missing the mark Deeper yet, sin is any state of being where a person is no longer relating to reality, self, God, or others as they actually are — because the self is organised around fear, protection, or control. Fear is central here, and this is why I speak about it so often. Fear narrows perception. When fear dominates: - God becomes an authority to appease - prayer becomes negotiation - belief becomes control - morality becomes self-protection - other people become threats or mirrors for shame Integration reframes sin completely. Sin is what happens when survival strategies are mistaken for identity. Fragmentation produces: - compulsive reassurance - rigid beliefs - moral absolutism - spiritual bypassing - control disguised as faith None of these are rebellion. They are adaptations. Repentance (metanoia) is not remorse. It is: - a change of mind - a change of orientation - a return to reality - a re-inhabiting of the body - a letting go of fear-based strategies Repentance is coming back into alignment with God aka "life." So if sin is the lived experience of separation that arises when fear, pain, or control distort perception, then salvation is not escape from sin. It is: INTEGRATION EMBODIMENT MATURITY RESTORE PARTICIPATION RETURNING TO COHERENCE WITH LIFE Now Jesus' role makes sense — because we can see he did not come to punish sin, absorb God's anger, or pay a legal debt. He came to: - restore perception - heal inner division - reveal coherence - model undivided presence

I really appreciate the way you frame sin as disconnection rather than condemnation. The idea that survival strategies can be mistaken for identity is especially powerful. Do you think recognizing those fear-based patterns is the first step toward genuine repentance and restoration?

@Monique Nieuwpoort That makes a lot of sense. I especially like that you start with observation rather than immediately trying to change the behaviour. Without awareness, people can easily try to “fix” a pattern while still operating from the same fear underneath it. The idea of repentance as re-patterning also makes the process feel much more practical and embodied. Once someone can recognize the pattern in real time, they actually have an opportunity to respond differently. how do you help someone move from simply noticing the pattern to consistently creating a new response?
Why trauma resolution & shadow work matter on a Christ-centred path
What we carry unresolved quietly shapes how we experience God, Jesus, and the people around us. Unintegrated shadow doesn’t disappear in faith. It reorganises perception. Pain distorts spiritual perception. It is not about belief. It’s about the nervous system. Unresolved pain reshapes how we read: - authority - safety - love - meaning - Including how we experience God. It can feel spiritual because the body doesn’t run on doctrine. It runs on: - threat - attachment - safety - regulation So it assigns meaning from felt experience, not doctrine. Pain carried in the body (inherited included) - Projects punitive authority onto God - Interprets love as conditional - Confuses humility with self-abandonment - Confuses devotion with shame Because the body learns to survive and then keeps surviving long after it needs to. This results in: - God being an authority to appease - Growth actually being self-abandonnement - Obedience replacing embodiment - Shame masquerading as devotion - A sinner identity that limits your capacity to embody Christ fully - Teachings filtered through fear rather than coherence - Prayer turns into reassurance for outcome control The necessary spiritual clarity for this to happen is not “better beliefs”. It is found in the body no longer needing to protect. Integration and shadow work create the conditions for genuine devotion, trust & alignment This is not a loss of faith but maturation of perception. Shadow work matters because what remains in the shadow: - leaks into judgement - hides behind “niceness” or obedience - projects onto God, authority, and others Integration restores honesty, agency, & wholeness. Jesus did not model dissociation, bypass, or suppression. He modeled embodied presence, emotional coherence, & truth without fear. To follow Christ is not to avoid the shadow. It is to bring light through it.

@Monique Nieuwpoort Oh, I understand it much better now. I like the idea of Worldview Builder being a companion to the community rather than just another resource. The daily focus gives people a path to explore, while the group provides the space to question, compare, and bring their own “mix” into the conversation. I’ll definitely give it a try. I’m especially curious to experience how Mira fits into that journey and how the individual exploration connects back to the conversations happening in Open Sourcery.

@Monique Nieuwpoort Yes, definitely. I’ve always been drawn to exploring different perspectives rather than feeling like I have to fit everything into one fixed worldview. I think we learn a lot when we’re willing to sit with different ideas, question them, and then form our own understanding from what resonates. That’s actually one of the things that drew me to Open Sourcery in the first place. I’m curious to see how the Worldview Builder approaches that process.
