Introducing Myself - Ziad Hafda
Assalamu alaykum everyone 👋 I'll go first. My name is Ziad Hafda. I'm the founder of The Muslim Mind Academy and I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I've spent over 22 years seeking Islamic knowledge, teaching students, mentoring, leading community programs and asking one question that wouldn't leave me: Why do so many Muslims know the Kalimah but so few are actually living from it based on its true intended purpose sent by Allah... That question became this community. I'm a Vice-President and Chair of Education at the Australian Islamic House in Sydney. I'm also writing a book — The Muslim Mind: Reviving the Ummah through the Kalimah — which is the foundation of everything we teach here. I built this community for Muslims who are done drifting and ready to think, lead and live with Divine direction. Your turn 👇 Tell us who you are, where you're from, and answer this one question honestly: What is the biggest gap you feel between your Islam and your daily life right now? No judgment. This is your space. May Allah bless your path Ziad

Wish you to be safe and sound in shaa allah. i feel you as a mother, but what is working for me ,is to engage kids with the activities i do, specially spiritual ones.giving them challenge keep them busy + learning deen meanwhile. like during night duas, keep them engaged and alert by asking quranic words during recitation. or while azkaar, ask them who will do more number of zikr etc

Week 1 - Self Assessment - WHO ARE YOU?
Life starts with knowing Allah. Before we can move forward, build, lead, decide. We have to stop and ask ourselves something honest: Who are you, really? Not your job title. Not what people expect from you. Who are you when no one's watching? This is where The Behavioural Compass™ begins — a 6-week framework we're walking through together, one piece a week, starting with Self-Assessment. Every decision we make is shaped by our Attitude. Attitude isn't a mood, it's built from two things: our Behavioural Patterns (what we do) and our Thinking Patterns (how we process). Most of us have never separated the two. We just call it "how I am." Here's what we believe: the Ummah doesn't lack capability. We lack the pause(quick pit stop). The moment of honest self-assessment before decision-making can commence. This week, before you build anything else "pause". Ask: Who are you? Not to judge yourself. To know yourself, so Allah's guidance actually has somewhere to land. Drop below: when you ask yourself that question honestly, what's the first word that comes up? We'll build on this next week.

The first word that came up for me was' niyah' (from a'malu bin niyat, actions are only by intentions.)

another word that comes up is "distracted." Not in a scattered sense,,but more like distracted from my own default state. Like I know who I'm meant to be in front of Allah, but daily noise keeps pulling me a layer away from actually living that, not just knowing it..
