CO. thermostat check
With everybody that’s here so far what are you seeing internally inside your firm? Is it a positive attitude a negative attitude what do you see coming? This is definitely something you want to keep a pulse on what is happening internally and what is the total atmosphere? This can tell you a few things With your management, how well are they connected to the ownership and how fair and equal does the ownership make them feel? What do you want to create in the future if you’re leading a team do you want them to feel like you feel right now? If you’re in a positive attitude, but you’re just underpaid that is much better than being underpaid and feeling horrible about going to work But these are lessons to learn lessons to take in to understand really what do I wanna do in the future? But again, what’s the thermostat feel for your firm right now?

There is a lot of like-minded achievers in the office that I am at. All have goals they are actively achieving

Welcome to The Blueprint
This community exists for one reason — to give engineering and trades professionals the tools, guidance, and connections they need to build a career (or a company) on their own terms. Whether you're an EIT trying to figure out your next move, a licensed PE eyeing a new opportunity, or a firm owner looking to grow..you're in the right place. Before we get into it, drop a comment below and tell me two things: 1. Who you are and where you're at: Name, discipline, location, and where you are in your journey...student, EIT, PE, firm owner, whatever stage you're in. 2. What brought you here. What's on your mind? What are you trying to solve, figure out, or get better at? Be specific... the more you give me, the more useful I can be. I read every comment. Let's get to work. — Bill Krell | The Civil Recruiter

Hello, my name is Noah James, I am from Georgia and I am a senior Civil Engineering student about to graduate this summer, I just started an internship with a good firm and there is about to be a new structural office opened that I would hope to transfer into after I obtain my masters degree in Civil Engineering focused in Structural Engineering. I would really like to obtain a solid understanding of the growth that I can undergo in Structural Engineering, what is required to be successful in this field, and how I can get started on climbing the ladder

@Bill K. The firm is primarily engineering, design consulting, and architecture based and I'm in their roadway department currently. I could stay in traffic and transportation, move to structural when the next nearby office opens, move to civil site design, or go into project management. As far as my focus is right now would be to become a general "jack of all trades" and obtain my PE civil structural license and obtain my SE license as well
