Glad I'm not the only one who had this issue. I've mostly fixed this though by moving into a new apartment/neighborhood and getting new jobs. The jobs just forced me to sleep more consistently and let worries out throughout the day on breaks.

Rice really used to knock me outtt, nowadays not as much for some reason. Mom made rice with chicken and heavy cream sauce, oh my dayyys - it was like melatonin.

@Ash Isamuu I assume it's a carb crash/food coma effect. Rice spikes blood sugar, so your body releases more insulin to handle it, which can be followed by a drop in blood sugar few moments later & that can make you feel drowsy. About the digestive system, sometimes my best sleep has happened after eating just before sleep, perhaps rice is a relatively fast-digesting carb source.
