Let's Make Your Videography Feel Premium
A big challenge for me is ensuring that the brand that I am building is premium I tend to hyperfocus on the masses & younger self, as an audience that I create for which makes everything feel cheap This video really helped me with a couple of very well-made points that I want to share with you here 🔥 3 Key Takeaways 1) Know the person you want to target and give them a story they'd find interestint. This one is huge, keeping in mind the person you'd want to get attention of. A lot of creators focus on helping their younger selves with a sloppy unorganized content I believe that if you want to be premium, you got to elevate your customer avatar 2) Stories, stories, stories. Throughout the entire video, despite the many points made, we kept coming back to one thing Stories Create the world of stories that customers would want, that’s how I took it I think a great action step, would be to create a story list, so you can create an organized world of them 3) Membership, not product. He pointed out premium brands that sell products but it almost feels like you're buying a membership I loved the concept of the product that you buy being almost like a key to a club you want to belong to And honestly, that’s what I feel like a lot of the successful skool communities do very well They don’t just sell the benefits of the community like courses and stuff but rather the access to the tribe This was a great video, and I believe that creating the story list and elevating the avatar we speak to will help all of us build more of a premium feel around our videography

Also, since telling stories is so important, that also makes scripting extremely important Right now I’m working on creating better scripts and I learned this structure from Hamza in one of his hidden videos Honestly, it gave me so much clarity and while it took a little bit longer, definitely helped me to stay on track and organized Here is the link to the template for you, you can just copy and paste the format The script is for a video. I am working on right now, I went out and filmed it today https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HhjrVlT-WvLQUumqjsjDKupxpUk4bMk6lPLrRiUcro4/edit?usp=sharing

Here is that video for you, breaking down how he structures everything and lays out the sauce I don't even know if it is his channel, but the video and the resource are gold and most definitely something he gives out only to his higher-tier students https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5wVspELZUE
My First YouTube Video
First video, so there is a lot to break down The structure that I want to follow for my own breakdowns is the following: 1) 3 Lessons Learned With every piece of content I create, there are going to be lessons along the way, I want to share these here 2) 3 Areas of Improvement Especially at the beginning, there are going to be so many of these, I want to track them and get better 3) Overall Thoughts The conclusion, the most valuable lesson, or other thoughts, these all will go here Let’s begin! 1) 3 Lessons Learned • DaVinci Resolve. out of all the software that I’ve used so far, I am absolutely in love with this one. It feels like everything that’s been missing for me is finally for the most part here And it’s free as well, so this is definitely number one for me, the ease of editing & color grading is great • Planning. As I mentioned in the video, planning is huge. I wish I prepared a lot more for this video. The areas planned, are the areas I executed the best on. I made a list of shots I wanted and I got them I did not make a very detailed script for the video and as a result, it felt a lot more scattered • Colorgrading Simplicity. While I was working on this project, I was color grading for the first time. And that got overwhelming, I kept watching all these videos, asked ChatGPT, and stacked complexity Then after literally color grading one clip for 90 minutes I figured something had to change I tweaked the basics, which in turn helped me understand what everything does and I left it at that 2) 3 Areas of Improvement • Scripting. This video’s script was created right as I sat down, you can see me holding a notepad in the vid I want to do better and prepare these things in advance • Understanding the settings. I could not understand how to export the file in 4K, this is a big one to fix I could not figure out the manual settings for the camera so I shot on auto On a lot of these clips, I could not figure out how to make them look natural

Btw, here is the color grade that took 90 minutes The ROI is not there for me 😭
How I Learned to Edit From Scracth
This is the first post in the “Valuable Information” category and this is the structure I'll use for it 🔥 3 Key Key Takeaways And now, when I think about it, I don’t think there’s any need for anything else Every video I will upload in here, is worth a watch fully, and your takeaways will be different from mine And what is a better way to start off this section then with a video that I’ve been staring at for the past 9 hours (no joke) The video below helped me to go for a complete beginner, to actually understanding how to put a video together The first video that I’ve uploaded here was made following this guide, and it saved me a ton of time 🔥 3 Key Takeaways 1) Colorgrading can be simple. The creator I watched at first was using five different color grading layers and really complicated the process. This video helped me to get my footage look good without the complexity and overthinking Btw, the color grading section starts on minute 17:00 2) Immediate application is better than notes This is a personal lesson I learned, as I was going through this video, at first when I watched it I was going to take notes and really take in his process But instead, I went through it section by section editing my own footage and honestly learned so much more and faster 3) Process and Organization Having a set process is huge So is having all the related stuff in folders This video really nailed the organization aspect, and I loved it for it Out of all the videos that I’ve watched to learn the software this was the best and is definitely worth the time if you want to learn Davinci Resolve

Color Grading, I learned from this video, was so easy Before/After:
Welcome to the Videographer Arc!
Welcome to the community, and thank you for joining me on this journey of leveling up in videography! HOW TO GET THE MOST VALUE: In order to get the most value from the community, it pays to be active. Since this is a campfire-style learning, we cannot help you if you are silent. Ask questions, share your content, and collaborate with others. But of course, don’t forget to share value yourself and build a reputation in the community HOUSE RULES: Respect the members. Treat everyone with respect. No spam or self-promotion (Feedback requests are ok). Keep the posts related to videography. And then, of course, use your common sense and don’t upload anything weird or illegal. FINAL WORDS You get what you put in. The way I personally see this community is a start to a season of leveling up my content and making that commitment to myself It can be like that for you, but only if you put in the effort. Most people stay silent, stay timid, and never achieve anything because of the limits they put on themselves Do not be one of these people and start your Videographer Arc. Let's level up! P.S. To keep up with the journey train, here are my socials, go give it a follow if you haven't yet YouTube: https://m.youtube.com/@nikitavideography Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/niktzsche?igsh=bGxmcDNpdWpoZjUx&utm_source=qr
