MC: Divination for Beginners
This is my "homework" from the activities in Mini Course "Divination for Beginners". I attached photos of some items I used for the activities. Lesson 1 Activity: What change is in my future that I am unaware of? Lesson 2 Activity: I have two new tarot decks I have not worked with yet. I will be shuffling them to connect with each deck before diving into readings. Lesson 3 Activity: I looked at a string of felt beads. It is a cat toy that we are using as a garland on our ofrenda de mascotas. I originally chose it because the bright colors reminded me of the traditional dia de lost muertos decor. After looking at itbfor this activity, it symbolizes a few things: finding beauty in everything, even in the sorrow of losing a beloved pet; the variation of color and slight variation in shape also represent how each day with our pets is different and unique but together they become something beautiful; the string also has slight curves and waves in it, which represent the journey of grief - it never leaves but some days the waves are higher and sometimes they're easier to cope with. Lesson 4 Activity: I spent 5 minutes watching a flame. Frustration, peace, dichotomy, dancing lovers, longing, reaching, lantern, fireplace, water droplet, petals Lesson 5 Activity: I do most of my tarot readings at my desk. I often listen to forest sounds, have a small candle lit, and use strings lights on the wall in front of me for my main lights ounce. Lesson 6 Activity: I did a one card tarot reading, and asked the cards to help me determine how to approach a difficult conversation with someone I am close to. I pulled the Two of Swords, which to mean means the cards are aware I have been avoiding this conversation for a while and the way forward is to take my blinders off, face this conversation head-first, but be curious and open to information shared with me that I may not be aware of. I feel much more confident broaching this topic now that I have a kick in the pants from the cards to just do the damn thing.
