🚨 The $24K Lie They Keep Telling About Black Women Entrepreneurs!
For years, the number they quoted about us was $24,000. 🙄 That's the average revenue for a Black woman-owned business. They print it in every article like it's the ceiling. Like it's the whole story. I'm writing this from the Dominican Republic, where I'm hosting a retreat for women of color running companies that span six to eight figures. Let me introduce you to a few of them. Dr. LaQuore J. Meadows — went from food stamps to founding an investment education company and earning her doctorate. She's the CEO of Invest2Give, a #1 best-selling author on stock trading, founder of Stocks & Sorors, and a top-tier trader. Dr. Viola Pierce— the Millionaire Nurse CEO. Twenty-five years of nursing, turned into a movement teaching other nurses to build multi-six-figure businesses. Charaka Cook — CEO of The Cook Group and the #1 female agency manager in her industry, training agents into six-figure earners while helping families build wealth. Ange Matthews— "The Goddess of Wealth," creator of the Happy Investor Method, teaching everyday people to build wealth across stocks, hotels, and real estate. Mechele Ellis — award-winning founder of Creative M.E. Childcare Center, building an educational institution and a community hub from the ground up. Yolanda Boone — a nurse who co-founded an eight-figure healthcare practice and built an insurance business on top of it. Catrina Kraft— the CFO behind multi-million-dollar healthcare ventures, the financial architect who turns practices into scalable, profitable companies. Healthcare. Nursing. Insurance. Investing. Childhood education. Finance. Not one of these women is the exception. Together, they're the room. And look closer at the photo, because this is the part I love most: you don't just see us. You see our teams. These women didn't only build businesses — they built payroll. Career paths for people in our communities who needed someone to bet on them. And here's the thing — this isn't even half of us. The women in this photo are the ones who could make it this week. There are more who couldn't. I messaged one of them just this morning — a WNBA Hall of Famer. This room is a fraction of the circle.

This is so inspiring.
QUESTION:
What’s one key insight from June you're carrying into July?

I asked and received. About a week ago, I was so frustrated on the job and asked God to show me a sign that entrepreneurship is really for me. Ended up have 3 inquiries come in for my design services.
We honor our angels in this community…
This year, we will honor our Cashlete Angels by having them on the walls of the hotel at Speak Your Way To Cash Live 2025. Both of these incredible women exhibited grace, love, and a joy for life. I’m so honored to have known them, coached them, and watched them thrive. They were well-loved, and their legacy will live on through the impact they made in our community. ❤️❤️ Please join me in keeping their families in prayer. At this year’s event, we’ll not only be building businesses, we’ll also be celebrating the lives and light of those who showed us what it means to truly live. Sabrina and Theresa you are missed. 🙏

Me: Welp, I’m down again. Scale says 209 from 240 and I’m so, so, so happy! This has been one of the hardest and most rewarding journeys ever! I don’t always want to be disciplined in my eating, or go to the gym, or drink my spring water like I should… or remember to eat enough protein. But I’m also committed to being in the best shape of my life—and it’s working‼️‼️‼️ And it feels sustainable because food doesn’t rule my life. I’m not always snacking or looking for food. I’m more focused, and it’s really helped my body confidence. Not only is the weight dropping, but I see a little shape coming in too. I realize now it’s from the weight lifting while also doing more cardio! But the weight loss is from the changed eating. I had to come to the realization that everything isn’t for everybody, so since I’ve started, I haven’t had a cheat meal. I don’t need it. I’ve had cheat meals the last 30 years. I’m going to give myself a few years to just be committed to ME. No cheating. Now, that doesn’t mean I can’t have anything good, but it means a little bite or taste is enough. It’s not worth the slippery slope. Plus, food is supposed to fuel us, not make us slaves to it. And as good as sugar is, it’s so dangerous. Here are some things I’ve learned from Rochelle T. Parks! 🤯 Your body craves what you give it. You don’t just like what you like—it’ll like whatever you feed it. This is so true!!! 🤯 Your body can’t always tell the difference between being thirsty and being hungry, so drink spring water first. 🤯 You can change your gut in 5 days with raw veggies only. For me, this was the most powerful reset and got rid of the cravings. Now, I did 14 days. By day 13 it was hard, but I didn’t crave fried or sugary foods after that. Game changer. And it made eating healthy easier while reincorporating food back into my diet. With exercise and mindful choices, I didn’t gain the weight back. 🤯 Also, if you eat clean, you don’t need to track calories. This nugget was helpful because I don’t have time, y’all! So I focus on living right, not tracking. I’m in a calorie deficit because of what I eat anyways, but I’m also burning a lot of calories from walking and weight lifting.
