FS-ISAC EMEA Summit - The Hague
I just wondered on the off chance if anyone is going to The Hague for the summit next week, if so would be wonderful to meet you in person. It’s my first time attending.

Wednesday win/whine ❤️✨
Mine is a proper mixed bag this week… Win…… Paris is booked!!! 🇫🇷✨ I’ll be there from the 8th–10th and I’m ridiculously excited. Every time I tell myself I need to stop saying yes to things, I immediately say yes to another thing 🤣🙈 but, I can’t wait to see everyone who’s going and have a few days away. Another big win is that I’ve finally had everything done that needed doing to get me on the surgery list. All the appointments, tests, poking, prodding and awkward questions are out of the way 🙈 and now I’m just waiting for the phone call…… Hopefully sooner rather than later so I’m recovered and ready for Paris. Whine, I amrunning on nothing but fumes this week. 😩 I think the adrenaline that has been carrying me through the last six weeks has finally looked at me and gone, “you’re on your own now kid.”…. You know when you’ve been so busy that you don’t realise how tired you are until your body suddenly sends you an invoice? Yeah… that 😩 The ADHD burnout has hit me like a bus. My brain wants to do 47 things at once, my body wants to be as one with my duvet, and neither side is willing to compromise. 🤣 So my plans for the weekend are incredibly wild…Rest.…. More rest.… Possibly a little lie down to recover from all the resting.…. And trying to get myself into the best possible shape before surgery. Anyway, enough about my dramatic relationship with exhaustion… What’s everyone else been up to this week? Any wins?Any whines?Any exciting news?Any rants that you just need to get off your chest?….. You all know I love hearing them ❤️✨

Support requested following sudden termination of role
Hi Everyone, I got some bad news today - I've been let go/terminated from my role as QA Manager/Test Manager at the company I've worked at for 1yr 4 months. My manager is saying this is because of concerns around the execution of the QA function which have been raised multiple occasions. And that the role is not meeting my expectations and is not in line with my preferred working styles. I have not been asked to make any improvements, given any structured feedback with clear expectation or put on a PIP i.e. no opportunity to make improvements. When I joined the company had been without a QA/Test Manager for over a year, and had gone through multiple managers prior to that. There were zero test processes. I created a test strategy and single test process. And supported my team in this high pressured environment. Since I joined the company has been in chaos and there are a lot of toxic behaviours, processes are not followed, me and my team have too much to do and too little capacity. I've been given a tiny goodwill gesture payment. Would anyone have any guidance and advice on what I should do? I can't afford to pay an employment lawyer or go to tribunal. On the plus side I have some time to dig into the resources on this network as I search for a new role.

Hi Jane, so sorry to hear this, I worked in QA / Test Management for many years before pivoting to cyber so I can understand how hard your role must have been for you in those circumstances. I’ve just sent you a connection request on linked in. If I see any roles on linked in I can share with you. I’m sorry I don’t have any useful advice, but just wanted to send you a message of support.
