Simple Marketing Ideas for Local Services
LQQK what we did! Post your socials, and follow others...
We have 90+ people now in our little group, and since I know we'll be into the hundreds and more, I want to find ways for us to help each other... so let's start with this! I've created this thread and "pinned" it to the top of our community page, so we can post our socials and all follow/like/sub to each other. If we make a solid effort together, we can eventually get hundreds of followers from this thread. Post personal socials, company socials, anywhere you'd like eyeballs and a click. The more likes, shares, follows etc you have, the better for SEO, as well as your Google Rankings. (Map pack) If nothing else, maybe follow 1-2 people a day... so it's not too much work. But we need to give to get... what goes around comes around... one hand washes another... yadda yadda yadda... in other words, FOLLOW EACH OTHER! I know, a cpl hundred follows isn't a big deal for some of you, but for others, it's a nice kick-start! If you post complete links, and not just your @whoever's etc, it'll be a lot easier... Thanks! Nick

If you can use some social media followers, especially for a young account, post here!
Are you posting on NextDoor?
One of the things I do quickly with a contractor or home service partner, is make sure they've both created a company page on Nextdoor.com , as well as are posting with their personal account. In many cases you'll see people reaching out asking for exactly what you do. A simple dm introducing yourself puts you in front of people needing you service... Nextdoor is an incredible tool for contractors looking to expand their digital reach and obtain new clients. It's a platform that lets people in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD both find service pros, as well as offer recommendations for local businesses... think word-of-mouth from trusted neighbors but in a digital space. For contractors, it provides a platform to organically reach the community or to have members endorse your work, which is a highly effective marketing tactic. And... it's FREE! (but post regularly, not just one and done!) “Word-of-mouth publicity is about the best it gets, with 83% of respondents having made a recommendation to a friend or family member and 55% making a recommendation at least once a month. However, younger consumers are more likely to engage in this behavior, with 77% reporting they make a recommendation at least once a month.” Let customers work on your behalf. Sign up (again, it's free!), list your business and contact info, and verify your Business Page. Once that's done, past and current customers within your community can leave recommendations directly on your page and increase your visibility within the neighborhood. By optimizing your contractor marketing strategy, you can attract more reviews and generate increased traffic. It doesn't take much to be rewarded their yearly recommendation awards, an icon you should both proudly share on both your socials, and website!

How to get jobs from Facebook groups!
Here's a GREAT video I found showing how to use Facebook groups to bring in jobs. A lot of this would work really well in LinkedIn groups as well!

Glad you liked it. It can be used in any niche really, just make small changes.
