Quote of the day / GOALS
“I’ve just been saying yes to every project that is presented to me because the more work I have, even if it’s low pay, the more output I have, which equals me getting infinitely more advanced in my edits. If I can make a bad video look good, wait till you hand me a good one.” - The Great Nicholas Valenzuela Good morning. After catching up over text with my good friend Nick yesterday, this really resonated with me. Being a “yes man” is usually looked down upon. You do not want to be a pushover or someone who bends over backward for everyone. And yes, saying yes to everything forever can absolutely become negative. However, I believe there is no shame in saying yes to everything for a season of your life. Maybe it is one year. Maybe it is a couple of years. However long it takes to develop your skills, build relationships, gain experience, and reach the point where you have earned the ability to say no. When the choice is between staying home, relaxing, and playing video games or driving 25+ minutes to do a shoot that might not pay much, saying yes might actually be the stronger decision. You are helping someone, getting more experience, stepping outside your comfort zone, and doing something you genuinely enjoy. For the longest time, I thought saying yes gave away your power. Now I believe that, during the right season, saying yes can be one of the boldest things you can do as a man. Every yes gives you another rep. Every rep makes you better. Eventually, all of those yeses will give you the freedom to say no to the things that no longer serve you. “When we illuminate the road back to our ancestors, they have a way of reaching out, of manifesting themselves...sometimes even physically.” Raquel Cepeda Good morning. Wanted to come on here and share a quote about ancestry today, because I actually feel its something important to tap into. You are living out your ancestors dreams. You are a legacy of your lineage and descendants. This is so powerful to think about. I do not want to waste a second of my days because my great great grandfather didn't create a family for no good reason. The lessons that he taught his son is the same lessons passed down through generations to me, I am him. Like Jesus said, I am Him, referring to our God. So for me, it's tapping into the Creator, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, but also remembering and honoring our great ancestors who did everything in their power for you to be here! Today I will: - Edit & upload new VSL for the community - Plan out video for this new digital product I'm releasing - Real estate photoshoot - Real estate video edit - Make personal brand post - Gym (chest & tri's) What are you getting done today?
