Firebase Questions
Hey again, Corbin and community. I followed Corbin’s amazing six-hour “build an app from scratch” video and I’ve successfully launched my software platform using Firebase in my tech stack. I have two quick questions: 1. Google Auth branding — When using Firebase Google Authentication, the consent screen and URL still show the Firebase project name (eg. myapp-prod.firebaseapp.com). From memory, I’m pretty sure Corbin mentioned somewhere in the video to enter your actual company/platform name in a specific place in the Firebase console to avoid this exact display issue, but it went over my head before live launch. Is there a way to fix or customize this? 2. Passwordless email deliverability — I’m using Firebase passwordless sign-in/sign-up (same as in the video). The magic link emails are consistently landing in spam. Is there a good way to fix this? I had the idea of extracting the magic link URL from Firebase and sending it through my own email provider. Does this approach work well? Has anyone found better alternatives, or do you just have to live with Firebase emails going to spam? For reference, I do show the user a message to check their spam folder (like in Corbin’s video), but it would be much better if they landed in the inbox. Would really appreciate any advice! Thankyou :)

AWS SES Production request
Hey everyone, I’m launching my first SaaS platform and wanted to ask for advice around transactional email providers. After watching Corbin’s videos, I remember the recommendation to avoid the big expensive email platforms where possible and use something more cost-effective like AWS SES or Mailgun. During development, I’ve been using AWS SES in sandbox mode and it’s been working well. I also built the app’s email architecture around being ready for SES production usage. I recently requested SES production access, but AWS rejected the request without giving a specific reason. (Screenshot attached) Is this normal for a new startup / new AWS account? What would you recommend from here? Should I move to something like Mailgun, Resend, Postmark, or another provider first, build some sending history/reputation, and then try SES again later once the platform has more traction? Would love to hear what others have done in this situation. Thankyou :)

@Josue Hernandez Thanks, that makes sense. I’m on shared IP for now since it’s early-stage/low volume transactional email. I’ll warm it up slowly and move to dedicated later if volume becomes consistent enough. :)

@Yasir Khan Yes, I did a small V1 beta launch last week and this week plan to do full public launch :)
