Hey Patty! I’ve gone through your portfolio properly and wanted to give you some honest feedback on what I think is working, what could be improved, and what I’d focus on to make it more appealing to brands. At the moment, I’d probably rate the overall portfolio around 40/100. That doesn’t mean the content or you as a creator are a 40/100 — I’m specifically talking about how effectively the portfolio sells you to a potential brand or agency. I actually think you have a really good opportunity because you fit a demographic that brands genuinely need creators for. There are thousands of younger UGC creators competing for the same jobs, whereas there are far fewer quality mature creators who can naturally connect with women 40+, families, homeowners, pet owners and older consumers. So I’d actually lean into that rather than trying to make the portfolio look like everyone else’s. First Impression The biggest thing I would change is the overall design. At the moment, the bright pink background, hearts, different photos and fonts make it feel more like a personal page rather than a professional UGC portfolio. You can definitely keep the pink and some of your personality — I wouldn’t want you to lose that — but I’d simplify it massively. I’d go with a mostly white or light background, darker text and then use the pink as an accent colour. That would immediately make the content itself stand out more. I’d also remove most of the hearts. A couple used strategically is fine, but right now they’re competing with your actual work for attention. Your Opening Section The first few seconds are really important because brands are usually looking through multiple creators. I’d simplify the opening to something like: Patty Baker UGC Creator Authentic, relatable UGC for brands wanting to connect with real consumers. Then underneath, you could have something like: Lifestyle • Home • Beauty • Wellness • Food • Pet I’d also use one really strong photo of yourself rather than the collage of different personal photos.
