Why do we play better when we are relaxed?
You had games where you didn't care at all. And you popped off. But why do we play better when we are relaxed? Because just knowing that doesn't help you fix it. Here is what's actually happening in your brain. When the game matters to you, you think on what you are doing, and you try to perform, and that makes you focus on your mechanics instead of the game, and that kills flow state. So the more you need the win, the more that part activates. The more it activates, the more interference you have. The more interference you have, the worse you play. And the worse you play, the more you need the win. That cycle is called the law of reverse effort. The harder you try to play well, the harder the game becomes. You cannot fix this by caring less. You cannot just tell yourself to relax. Your brain knows better than that. What you can fix is what you focus on. You need to focus only on your team and on what the round needs you to do. And when your attention is not on yourself, your brain stops watching itself. Self 1 trusts self 2. Your mechanics run on automatic. You stop playing scared and start just playing. Ask any questions!

@James Turnbull You are trying a lot to stay calm, remember that you cant think your way out of a emotion, always do the slow breathing and take your hands out of the mouse when you tilt. dont try to stop it, just try to focus on the next thing. the next play speed has a learning curve, the more you do it the better you will be at that. meditation is not made for you to calm down, if fact when you do meditation properly you will end the meditation beeing tired, because meditation is a focus drill, its exausting to focus for 15 min.

@Lucas Quilles Im sorry, but i have to disagree with you here, the self 1 and self 2 applies in valorant sometimes even more then in tennis. Tennis is also a very complex game, and if you do something diferently because you slept just 3 hours might aswell not even play the game. A person that sleeps only 3 hours, but knows how to focus inside the game and lets the game come to him will enter flow state more often then someone that sleeps 8h but is constantly trying to be perfect. If you are addapting just because you feel like you are not good to hit that shot you are not letting the game come to you, you are forcing a play, a play that you are not doing because you analyzed the game, its a play you are doing because you are afraid.
The team that tilts first loses
But the goal is not to never tilt. That's impossible. The goal is how fast you come back from it. Next Play Speed. Every second you spend thinking about what just happened is a second you're not playing the game in front of you. What's tilting you the most right now? Drop it below 👇

@Lucas Quilles I only sugest mute when you see that they wll not stop trolling in voice, but the trick is not the think in yourself, the trck is to think in the game and heling them aswell. Even if they are beeing toxic play as if they are not, it will give you a direction on what to do and it will make some of them be inspired by your fous on the game and will stop the trolling. But as i say, you will always tilt, you are right when you say that its hard to not feel tilted. But thats something the best players learn how to deal with it. think about yourself in some years from now, will you remember the random that tilted you? no, because its irrelevant, but its part of your journey as a valorant player. Use it as practice to improve your life, your emotional control. Law of transcendence. Idk if i answered you, fell free to ask more quesions about this ❤️

@Lucas Quilles thats the law of trancendence working correctly, and the fix should be the same, have other things to focus on so it doesnt affect you. You cant controll them, worry more about yourself, and slowly you will not care about them. Keep up he good work!

Hello Marlboro, nice name xd! Welcome! So, you are grinding fast, but now inconsistency is happening to you. Sometimes we play well, sometimes we miss everything. So, i need you to understand first, that incossistency will always happen. There is never a player that plays well every single game. Valorant is a very random game, anything is a timing, every gunfight has timing involved, and timings can be random, and random things are not consistent. Honestly there is no secret psychology about inconsistency, anything and everything can make you more inconsistent, the lack of sleep, the lack of nutrients/watar, the lack of aim training, not havinga routine, all the laws of the inner game, any emotion that happens during the game, its all inconsisntecy and its all about the Timothy Gallwey formula, P = p - i
Week with Neuro premium
So it’s been about a week. I’ve also had private conversation conversations with the coach right now. I’ve been playing very well between my aim when I’m able to shut it off and my movement when I’m able to shut it off with my self one the breathing really has helped lock me back in and I’m seeing a lot more focus and less care in my ring games
