Introduction
Hello, my name is Kilian and I am currently Immortal 1 (Peak: 110rr) My current problem is getting mad very easy because I really care about my rank but my mates are too low for me. I played in T3 and T2 and didnt grind comp that much and now I am looking forward to Improve for achieving to play at a higher level in Valorant.

@Kilian Lomp Ok, just check if you are practicing all fundamentals of the game consistently. and dont change it anymore. It needs to be like a ritual to you. now my question is, do you have other things in your life? other hobbies? something that you love also. That will make you less mad because if valorant is your life you will be more mad when things go wrong.

@Kilian Lomp hey Killian, sorry for taking too long to answer. In this situation your problem is that what is giving you dopamine is wins. You already know that caring about rank is bad but your brain is wired to get dopamine when you get rank. What if your dopamine came from improving skills, from improving your gameplay? If that is what gives you dopamine, your focus will be on that and not on getting better rank and over time you will improve as a player a lot more

@Shavin Perera Hello Shavin! Answer is in the introductions post!
Peak Diamond 2, Hard Stuck now Platinum 3
I usually play quite well good aim and calm mentality at first. Most of the time one half i perform good but I cant seem to finish my fights sometimes. I'm not sure what the problem is but i don't think i tilt but not sure. I feel from internally I cant win the fights and these matches are getting turned around real fast. I wanna improve I feel like with proper guidance I can improve.

If you are with a good aim and mentality at first, that's already the best start you can have. But you need to understand those bad days will always happen. It's very normal. The best players are not the ones that have the best scores every match or that can play well every game. The best players are the ones that don't think about how bad they are playing and they reset and do the next play or the next thing as fast as possible. If you feel like you can't focus for the first half and then for the other half you can't, it's because you have a problem with anchoring your focus every round. The skill here is that every time, as soon as the new round starts and as soon as the buy phase starts, you need to ask yourself one or two questions: 1. Where do I wanna go? 2. Which players do I want to play with me? If you do that every single round, even when the game is already won or even when the game is already lost, if you keep doing that, you will develop a longer focus time. You will overtime be able to play well all game. But I don't mean to actually play well every game. What I mean is for you to focus every single round because playing well every game or every round is a myth. Things will go bad so don't worry if you play bad or if it doesn't work okay. There will also be times, where you enter on autopilot, you will always enter a little bit on autopilot. Some days you are more on autopilot, some days you are less, but it depends. The goal is not to never be on autopilot. The goal is to decrease the time you are on autopilot. And the goal is to reset to full focus as fast as possible. But fpcus ans mental will never be perfect. A perfect mental doesnt exist. But the closer you are to perfect the better. How is your routine? Is it consistent?
Peak plat1 and I am still plat1
I was playing really good a week ago coming back from a break and I went from silver to plat and was playing pretty good in low diamond lobby but my past games are getting worse and it feels like I am lowkey getting worse and I’m stuck in my head and can’t get out I have not been able to play like I did when I was getting out of gold for some reason

Hello Noah how are you glad you came! So, the diference between good and great players is the way they look at your exemple situation. You need to understand that having bad days, having bad weeks is part of the journey. Right now you are starting to improve your mental its normal to still be lost. The first thing after garantee sleep/hidration/nutricion, warmup and practice routine, after that is understanding that its ok to play bad. But the goal is not to never tilt or to never play bad. The goal is to be aware that that is normal and that you sould reset as fast as possible. Every time you feel something negative change your focus to something. Make action. Action with consistency will make you improve even when you drop 3 ranks. All immortal 3 players, all radiants have derannked before. But they keep going because they trust themselfs. And trusting yourself is every time even when you are playing bad. Change your focus to improve skills, be a better player, not the player with the best rank
Introduction
Hello all, my name is kuhlay. I’ve played Val inconsistently since beta. Ended V25 at Ascendant 2, took a break, and am now back since start of this act. Currently Diamond 1 after rollercoaster-ing between high plat and mid diamond. One of my biggest struggles now is comparison. Every lost gunfight and match adds to the pile of “I’m no longer good” and “I never belonged in these ranks”. 70% of my gameplay is waiting to be hard on myself for losing something with the other 30% being the gameplay I remember from before my break. Waiting to mess up costs me 70% of my games and only reaffirms the comparisons when the RR loss reflects my loss of confidence.

Hello Kuhlay, how are you? It looks like you are struggling with cofidence. You look like you dont trust yourself. And if you keep focusing on the outcome of your fights you will stay like that. Trusting yourself means even whe you miss the worst shot of your life, you dont care about that and you look towards the next move. You need to do less rankeds and change your fpcus from RR to skill improvement. How is your routine?
