As I grew up, I always wondered if it was possible for a person to drastically change their life. I often had debates with my friends in high school. I claimed it was possible. They argued that a person couldn’t change and had to stay the same. Back then, I didn’t know everything I’ve learned today about human beings, thoughts, and their position in life and the cosmos. But I had a feeling it was possible, even though I observed my neighbours, who year after year showed no significant change. I couldn’t understand why they drove the same car, walked the same way, went on vacations in the same manner, until one day I would hear that one of them had passed away. Even then, I asked myself, What was the purpose of their life? It seemed as though they lived the same year 30 or 40 times. This was the effect of their paradigm. It kept them trapped in the same feelings, thoughts, and physical appearance. That’s why, when we set out to change ourselves, we must change our being on all levels. How do we walk? What kind of thoughts do we have from the moment we wake up? How do we feel throughout the day? What do we think about ourselves and money? For those who attended my Matrixx programs outside this community, you now better understand the daily exercises we practiced and still do. One of them involves becoming aware of the contact between your feet and the ground as you walk. Don’t allow yourself to go for a walk completely absorbed in the internal monologue of your mind. Redirect your attention to the touch of your feet on the ground and count the steps during a 5 km walk. That’s how change begins and I still believe it is possible.
