i dont understand why using "do they" and not "they do" because i think that "atmospheric rivers" is a plural right? which mindset part that im wrong guys?

there are some trouble in my country so i just have 3 days left to study SAT. Do you guys have a really good tips for me? because in last test at november SAT i got 1160 and i need to increase my score to at least 1350
