Our weather has been heavy, hot and gloomy here the past few days. Not impressed LOL. It has me thinking about something I learned recently - there is an actual medical term for something I’ve experienced my entire life: meteoropathy. It means your physical body and mood are highly reactive to changing weather conditions. For me, this sensitivity is intense. My mood shifts dramatically with the weather, and I have an extreme sensitivity to wind—it makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable, and my ears are highly sensitive to it. It turns out my body is basically a walking, talking barometer! I have to wear ear muffs when walking along the riverfront even in summer! I know I can’t be the only one who feels the atmosphere shifting before it even happens. Or who needs sunshine to feel happy and whole.🌞Do changes in barometric pressure, sudden storms, or windy days completely alter your mood, energy, or pain levels? I’d love to know if you experience this too, and how you cope with it!
