Discussion Post One - Biblical Interpretation
2 Timothy 1:13 says, "What you heard from me, keep as a pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus." We learned that "pattern" means "prototype" or "outline," which is what Paul wanted for his disciple Timothy. What is your current pattern of Biblical study? Be as honest as possible, no judgment!

The way I would study my Bible before was cross referencing the word with different translations. If it didn’t make sense doing research on the meaning behind it. I am a nerd at heart and history especially Gods history is something I always loved. I was able to see the Bible come alive. Once I got married and became a mom my pattern has changed not because of time but because of all the pressures I felt from all my responsibilities that I fell out of love with Gods word. I was just going as the day went. God called me back like a stubborn sheep. Now my pattern is listening and following his instructions. Quoting scriptures over my situations, making sure I invite him into my life every step of the way. Not just reading the word but living it out!
