The Great Debate...
Today's question: Seated or Standing? Why? Let the Debate begin...

It depends. If I want higher energy, I stand; for more chill gigs, I sit. I think my voice has better control and air support when I'm standing, but I'm probably a better guitarist when I sit.
Current gigging gear
Hey gang! I was just curious what is the current gigging gear that you are using. Are you using pedals? Do you have your own portable PA? What guitar(s)? etc. Here is my gear: I am trying to keep things real simple... Guitar: Taylor 214ce Deluxe in Sunburst Pedal: TC Helicon Harmony Singer 2 PA: Harbinger MLS1000 Mic: Shure SM58 (Back-up Shure Beta 58) I have been toying with the idea of adding a Beat Buddy or maybe a simple kick drum pedal. I'm just getting started, so I'm operating with a bare-bones setup. My 30 year old Samick acoustic-electric guitar My Acer Enduro laptop running MobileSheets with my song lists Gemini ES-210MXBLU-ST PA System Shure SM58 mic w/ On-Stage 7701 boom stand Gator GFWLaptop1500 Tripod Laptop Stand Donner page turner pedal Basic direct box Assorted cables Cart everything around on a RocknRoller Multi-Cart R12RT in some Roughneck plastic crates I've got a wish list for when I start making some actual money doing this, but so far this is it.
🎤 Muso Question of the Week.
Firstly, a big thank you to the OG members who've joined while this place is still brand new. It's great to have you here, and I'm hoping we can build this into a genuinely useful community for working and aspiring gigging musicians. There are already decades of experience between the people in here, so hopefully this becomes a place where we can share what we've learned, help each other out, have a laugh at the ridiculous side of gigging, and maybe save each other from learning EVERYTHING the hard way. So, to get things rolling... What's ONE thing you know about gigging now that you wish someone had told you when you started?

Nobody needs you to be a guitar god. Cowboy chords will get you 98% of the way there. Just go play.
