How Do You Handle Features?

In my career as a hiphop artist I have had the weirdest time with features. It feels like with artist I havent met they give little to no effort in the quality of the record, I've had artist run off with feature money or artist that get really nervous and take forever on the record. Usually with artist I meet in person and can get into the same studio with everything works out find but thats not always the case... Anyways, what are some practices that you guys use when getting features for your records or featuring on other records?

First of all, give em a hard deadline if you need to. If it's chill then no rush, but if you need it by a certain time make sure they know. Also make sure they know that you maintain the right to not use whatever they send you if it doesn't fit your vision. Pay them after the song is completed and ready to upload. If we're talking you doing features and not just receiving them, only work for free if the artist is either bigger than you or the song is really good. Otherwise, make some money outta the deal.

Tidal New Opportunities For Artist

Hey, I’ve been getting emails about Tidal Rising? If you’re not familiar with it basically Tidal is willing to give funding, education, and membership to certain artists and help launch their career. I’m assuming they’ll want something in return but they haven’t dove that far into it yet. Thoughts and would you opt in for this?
