Pam, thank you for inviting me to share my thoughts on shadow work here. To clarify, I'm a shadow coach. Shadows are the faulty habits, limiting beliefs, challenging reactions, etc., that keep us from living an authentic life. For example, say as a girl, you excelled in school. You were then told by someone you cared about that boys don't like smart girls, so you stopped trying in school and graduated with an average GPA. Or you were a young boy who was sensitive, and you were told that real men don't cry, so you began stuffing your feelings, and then, as an adult, you struggle with feeling numb. Or you were a person of color and you were told repeatedly that people of color aren't smart, so you began to question your intellect to the point where you sell yourself short as an adult. Those are shadows. I love how the use of these stones can help to bring issues up to the surface, ground the person using the stones, explore our subconscious, protect us as we take the deep dive, encourage compassionate self-care, and soothe as we explore our issues. These stones are fabulous! I look forward to using them! Thanks again, for sharing this, Pam! I'll definitely let you know how the stones support my clients as I work with them!
