Scammers, YouTubers, and other business solicitations are not welcome here and will be automatically banned and/or blocked.
@Alan Paine That is an exciting transition. Moving from IT into full-time creative work is a big step, but your technical background is a massive asset especially for the precision required in still life and macro photography. Since you're planning to make the leap, are you currently focusing more on building your portfolio, or are you starting to look at the business side of getting clients?
@Gary Bourget Thatās a big, exciting shift. Moving away from Auto is exactly how you start to own your images rather than just letting the camera guess. Since you have a technical background in IT, youāll likely find that manual mode feels a lot like programming itās just a set of logic rules (Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO) that you control to get the output you want.
