Your Ultimate "Foot-in-the-Door" Offer: The AI Training Portal
We often focus on using Askspot for external marketing lead generation, chatbots, etc. But one of the most powerful (and easiest to sell) solutions you can build is for an internal problem that every single business with more than one employee faces: employee training. I'm calling it the "AI-Powered Employee Training Portal." Picture this... Your potential client is a busy coffee shop owner. A new barista starts on Monday. For the next two weeks, the owner or their best manager will spend hours answering the same questions over and over: - "How many pumps of vanilla go in a large latte?" - "What's the Wi-Fi password again for customers?" - "How do I process a refund on the register?" - "What's our policy if someone has a nut allergy?" This repetitive training is a massive time-suck, it's inconsistent, and it takes their most valuable people off the floor. Now, what if you could walk in and offer to CLONE their best manager's brain and turn it into a 24/7 training assistant that every new hire can access from their own phone? With the Spotlight feature, you can. This is the ultimate "foot in the door" offer. 1. You grab their existing knowledge. You ask the business owner for their employee handbook, their SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), their scripts, their recipes, any document they use for training. 2. You create their private "New Hire Training" Spotlight. This is not for the public; it's a password-protected page just for their team. You feed all those documents into the Sources tab. The AI now knows the "company way" for everything. 3. You set up a simple, clean interface.* Profile Video: A short welcome video from the owner to new hires.* Chat Welcome: "Welcome to the team! I'm your AI training assistant. I've been trained on our entire employee handbook and all of our procedures. Ask me anything to get started."* Channels: Set up quick-access buttons for things like "View Weekly Schedule," "Clock In/Out Portal," or "Request Time Off."

I love these ideas, @Dave Calafiore. Keep 'em coming!
How to adjust the prompt to get Canadian spelling?
I did add "Please respond in English, using Canadian spelling." to my prompt in AskSpot, but it still replied using US spelling ("colors" instead of "colours" - even though the source URL mentions "colour scheme" as well! How to adjust the prompt so the Ai will use Canadian spelling? 🇨🇦 Thank you, and sorry... 🤣 (and how about that SGA, eh?)🏀

Thank you, Dave. I was using GPT 4-turbo, and switched to 4-o now. And I initially updated the prompt to: You are a helpful and professional chatbot that assists website visitors with their questions. Provide clear, concise, and friendly answers. Always use Canadian English spelling and conventions in your responses. If the answer eludes you, it's best to admit your limitations honestly, and recommend they use one of the provided contact options to ask the question there. Avoid creating speculative responses. Should the question stray from the context, courteously respond that you're unable to furnish an answer. If the input is not a question, reciprocate in a gracious manner. When I asked my bot the question "What colour is the sky?", it DID reply using "colour" spelled the Canadian way. I don't know if that was because of the improved prompt, or because I used "colour" in my question? 🤔 But regardless - the bot DID PROVIDE A DETAILED ANSWER FROM ITS OWN KNOWLEDGE, instead of saying something like "I don't know the answer to that", because this content was not provided in the source materials... See screenshot. I also tried this prompt: You are a friendly, helpful and professional chatbot that assists website visitors with their questions. Your primary role is to assist users with questions about the sources you were provided with. Provide clear, concise, and friendly answers. Always use Canadian English spelling and conventions in your responses. Only use the provided sources to give your answers, do not reply on your own knowledge. If the answer can’t be found in the provided sources, it's best to admit your limitations honestly, and recommend they use one of the provided contact options to ask the question there. Avoid creating speculative responses. Should the question stray from the context, courteously respond that you're unable to furnish an answer. If the input is not a question, reciprocate in a gracious manner. But it gave the same answer to "What colour is the sky?" 😕
GENIUS CARD PLAYBOOK - Created a New Spotlight
Hey Everyone, I went into the Genius Card Playbook DFY and created a New Spotlight for a Bankruptcy Law Firm using the Attorney Template. Had lots of changes to make and updated everything. The only thing I have to figure out is how to connect a flow for the contact data collection. Haven't done much with that but I know that it is important for the person at networking events to be collecting a list of people who want to connect. I think there is a lot I can do with this particular Spotlight...but for now, she could actually use it for Bankruptcy prospects, since everything is connected to her actual website scheduling links and contact information. I also created the Lock Screen QR Code for the Attorney so she can use it at networking events or just when she is out and about. I even had Claude write an updated blog that she can post to her website because her last blog was in 2024. I let her know that I created the blog post, but she was welcome to make any changes and modifications...it was a start to keep her blogs current and to help her website rank better. These are things we can do easily for potential paying clients to show them our expertise and provide extra value. Here is her easy link to the Spotlight: sqr.co/nyelawfirm-nora/ Let me know your thoughts.

Over four weeks, we’re going to work together to help you **understand AI consulting inside and out**. You’ll learn how AI is changing the way businesses operate, and how you can offer services that make a real difference. We’ll go over how to create **AI-powered tools** that businesses can actually use—things like smart assistants, automation tools, and easy-to-use forms that help them get more done in less time. You’ll also learn how to **explain AI in simple terms** so that businesses understand why they need your help.
