🌸 What Season Are You In?
One of the beautiful things about womanhood is that we are constantly evolving. In Women's Seasonal Apothecary, we use the symbolic seasons of Maiden, Mother, and Crone to explore the different chapters of a woman's life. These aren't rigid categories or labels—they're archetypes that help us reflect on where we are and what we're becoming. 🌱 The Maiden A season of curiosity, discovery, learning, and becoming. She asks questions, explores new paths, and is finding her voice. 🌸 The Mother A season of nurturing and creation. Whether you're raising children, building a business, caring for loved ones, creating art, or tending a community, this season is about bringing life into the world. 🍂 The Crone A season of wisdom, discernment, and deep knowing. She has lived through joy and sorrow, and her experience becomes a gift she offers to others. Many of us discover that we're not just one. You may be in your Crone years while beginning a new career like a Maiden. You may be a Mother in your relationships while embracing the wisdom of the Crone. Our lives are beautifully layered. Introduce yourself! I'd love to get to know you. 💚 What's your name? 📍 Where are you from? 🌿 Which season—or combination of seasons—best describes where you are in life right now? ✨ What has this season been teaching you? There are no right or wrong answers here.

Hello, I'm Katherine. I feel as though I am a mix of all three. I've been learning to find my voice and my path; spiritually, in my career, in my beliefs. I'm a nurturer by nature; I care for not only my loved ones but anyone I come into contact with. I work in health care and have for quite some time. I know my purpose is to nurture even if I don't want my own children. I have been told I'm an "old soul" since I was young; I had to grow up way too fast and have seen a great many things in my short life, and can often offer some comfort in hard situations to friends based on my experiences.

Good morning, beautiful friends! You’ll find as we go, that I love to research and discover the science-backed information behind why plants work inside and assist our bodies. So! Each week I’ll be diving deep into magazines and googles and books to get that information to you! TUESDAY NEWS DAY! 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 Could Plant Compounds Help Support Women Through Menopause? One of the most interesting areas of women’s health research this year isn’t focused on a new prescription drug. It’s focused on polyphenols, the naturally occurring compounds found in herbs, berries, tea, cocoa, olives, colorful vegetables, and many fruits. A 2026 review explored how these plant compounds may interact with the gut microbiome, inflammation, and hormone changes during menopause. Researchers suggest that polyphenols may help support healthy communication between the gut, immune system, and brain—areas that are often affected during the menopausal transition. They also noted that this is an exciting and growing field, but more human clinical trials are still needed before firm recommendations can be made. (RSC Publishing) 🌱 What does this mean for us? As herbalists have long understood, our health isn’t usually changed by a single miracle herb. It’s shaped by the plants we invite into our lives every day. Think: 🍓 Berries 🌿 Rosemary 🫖 Green tea 🫒 Olive oil 🫐 Blueberries 🌱 Sage 🍇 Dark grapes 🥬 Colorful vegetables These foods don’t “cure” menopause—but they may help support the body’s natural resilience while nourishing the gut and reducing oxidative stress as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. (MDPI) 🌸 Practical Takeaway This week, challenge yourself to eat the rainbow. Instead of asking, “What supplement should I buy?” ask: “How many different plants can I nourish myself with today?” Sometimes the most powerful medicine begins on our dinner plate.

The fresh vegetables we grow in the garden! I don't know if its because the love put in or the lack of chemicals to preserve them in stores. I think it might be the spiritual connection to Gaia and knowing I honored her while growing them. I also grew chamomile, basil, sage, lemon balm, and dill in planters on my porch this year. I have dried the basil and started using that frequently when cooking. I'm waiting on my first bits of sage and lemon balm to finish drying. Regularly having things we've grown brings me so much joy. Also my body really appreciates strawberries, and recently blueberries. I used to hate blueberries but now they're my friends.
