Things we have been circling for months are becoming harder to avoid. Relationships. Patterns. Decisions. Truths about ourselves. Places where we stayed quiet, waited, accommodated, reacted, or simply could not yet see what was happening. So this month, we are beginning something new inside the Magdalene Network. Each month, we will choose one of the Powers from the Gospel of Mary as a lens for our circles, practices and conversations. SEPTEMBER POWER: IGNORANCE Not ignorance as stupidity. Ignorance as what we could not yet see. The unconscious pattern. The belief we inherited. The truth we weren't ready to admit. The decision we postponed because some part of us still hoped we wouldn't have to make it. Awakening can be exhilarating, but revelation can also hurt. September is about learning to see clearly without using what we see as another weapon against ourselves. Can we forgive the woman who didn't know yet? Can we love ourselves in the space between revelation and decision? Can we listen deeply enough to know what is true before fear rushes in with an answer? Tomorrow we gather again around the Red Thread. This month, our theme is Anointing & Witnessing One Another. There is something sacred that happens when a woman is truly witnessed. Not analyzed. Not fixed. Not advised. Simply seen. Throughout history, anointing has marked moments of blessing, devotion, recognition, healing, and becoming. Tomorrow, we’ll explore what it means to offer that kind of sacred recognition to ourselves and to one another. What might change if another woman reflected back the strength, beauty, courage, or becoming that you have trouble seeing in yourself? And what might it mean to offer that same gift to her? Come prepared for circle, connection, reflection, and a simple anointing practice as we honor the women we are and the women we are becoming. Beloved Magdalenes, August is carrying us deeper into the work of remembrance. Our theme for the month is: REMOVE THE CLOAK 🚀The Unbinding of the False Self The good girl. The caretaker. The strong one. The peacemaker. The woman who keeps everyone comfortable. The woman who knows more than she allows herself to say. These identities were not created because we were weak. They were formed to protect us, preserve belonging, and help us survive what we did not yet know how to hold. But what once protected us can eventually become the very thing that hides us.
