Before you rush into 2026, pause.
Most people do not fail because they lack talent. They fail because they repeat the same year with a new calendar. ...just a bit older, a bit more weary and bit more disillusioned. Same habits. Same excuses. Same conversations. Different date. Nothing changes by accident. Growth is not about doing more. It is about choosing better. Better inputs. Better questions. Better standards. Better people around you. Next year will not reward intention. It will reward commitment. Not motivation. Not resolutions. Commitment. The kind that shows up on dull days. The kind that does the work when nobody is watching. The kind that stops waiting for permission. You do not need another idea. You need a decision. Decide what you are no longer available for. Decide what you will tolerate no more. Decide what version of you does not get to come into 2026. The next level is not complicated. It is just uncomfortable. Make next year count. Not loudly. But deliberately. Mike

Having spent the last few days intently on my year plan, and keeping my mindset strong, I’m feeling prepared for 2026. It’s going to be about discipline. It’s not going to be easy but curiosity will help make it fun. My bicycle is ready to help improve my health along the way.

A New Year. A New Chapter. A Higher Standard.
From today, this community steps up. This space was never meant to be passive Or noisy. It was meant to be useful, focused, and real. Some people like to watch from the sidelines. Some dip a toe in. Others fully engage, contribute, apply, and grow. This community is for the latter, at whatever level they are ready for. It is not a place to hitch a ride. As already communicated, the community now moves to a paid membership model, with three tiers (starting at less than £2 a week): - Standard - Premium - VIP The entry level is intentionally accessible. ....Around £2 a week... £100 a year or roughly 30p a day. That includes: - daily inspiration, education, and motivation, - plus a live monthly mentoring and motivation Zoom Higher tiers offer deeper mentoring, classrooms, tools, templates, masterminds, book reviews, specialist partners, and direct 1-2-1 engagement with me. I personally curate this space. I read the posts. I respond. I stay involved. Nothing changes for my one to one mentees. Your access remains free. If this next chapter is right for you, I look forward to seeing you inside. If not, that is completely OK. Your access will simply end if no subscription is added. SKOOL will prompt you if you wish to continue. Either way, I wish you an outstanding 2026.

MERRY CHRISTMAS @Mike Greene - 🎄 and all the community 🎄 🎉
If you could change just 1 thing?
Yesterday I hosted a business breakfast and attended an exclusive political roundtable: ...One question made me think more than usual: 'If an SME or entrepreneur could change just one thing, For the biggest single impact, What would it be?' My Answer: Stop asking, “What do I need to do today?” Start asking, “How do I stop this coming back again?” Most entrepreneurs live in reactive action. → Emails → Fires → Problems → Opportunities → Busy days that feel productive But data from McKinsey, Bain, MIT Sloan, And decades of SME performance research, All point to the same conclusion. The highest performing businesses are not run by effort. They are run by systems. Here is the real shift in plain English. Am I fixing this today. Or am I building something that fixes it every time? Most business owners are proud of being busy. → Solving problems one by one → Making decisions emotionally → Being the hero → Wearing long hours as a badge of honour High performing businesses think differently. - Every action strengthens a process. - Every problem is documented, not heroically fixed. - Every solution is designed to work without the owner. This single shift creates powerful second-order effects. → Time starts to appear → Stress reduces → Quality becomes consistent → People step up → Scale becomes possible → Burnout disappears Why this matters. - Motivation fades. - Discipline wobbles. - Energy fluctuates. But systems change behaviour without willpower. They work quietly. Every day. Whether you feel like it or not. The best entrepreneurs are not smarter. They are not luckier. They are not working harder. They stop being the engine. And start building the machine. And here is the uncomfortable truth: 'If the business only works when you are there, You do not own a business' You own a job. With overheads. That is the single mindset shift That changes everything.

Brilliant Post - one that should be read frequently. Am I fixing this today. Or am I building something that fixes it every time? That question tells me that I’m building the right team alongside building the right attitude.
