DAY 3: Break Free from Striving
Main Scripture: Psalm 127 Supporting Scriptures: Matthew 11:28-30, Ecclesiastes 4:6 Empowered Insight: Striving is often celebrated in culture, but Scripture calls it vanity when it replaces trusting in the Lord. Jesus invited us into a different way of living, one where His yoke is easy and His burden is light. This doesn’t mean inactivity, but it means ALIGNMENT. Jesus is not saying that life will be effortless. He is speaking about how life is carried when it is aligned with Him. A yoke was a wooden beam placed over two oxen so they could walk and work together. So here goes your Empowered 🔑; YOU WERE NEVER MEANT TO CARRY LIFE ALONE. Jesus is inviting you into partnership, not pressure, Striving says, “I have to figure this out, make this happen, and sustain it. Jesus says, “Walk with Me, and I will carry what is too heavy for you.” What does Jesus mean by, “My yoke is easy”? The word “easy” call also mean fitting. This means: ⭐️ What Jesus places on you is custom designed just for you. ⭐️ It aligns with your calling, your grace, and your capacity. ⭐️ It does not require you to become someone you are not. Striving happens when you pick up: 🚩 Expectations that the Father never gave you. 🚩 Responsibilities He never assigned, 🚩 Timelines He never spoke. This is why for many people, life can seem so hard and heavy. WHY IS HIS BURDEN LIGHT? It is light because; 💡 He carries the weight of the outcome. 💡 He provides the strength to do what He asks. 💡 He walks with you through the process. When you are outside of alignment, everything feels exhausting. When you are in alignment with Jesus, there is still effort, but there is grace and peace. Discernment you can apply starting TODAY! You can ask yourself; Does this feel forced or Spirit Led? Am I moving in PEACE or PRESSURE? Did Jesus assign this, or did I pick it up? 🔑 If it is constantly heavy, it may not be His yoke! Choose Life today Tribe! You don’t have to carry everything, fix everything, nor do you have to Prove yourself. Today, choose to WALK
