Never heard of this one, thank you!
A win!
Starting my new personal homeopathic protocol today! I’m going to be sharing all about the process here. Since I’ve been on so many different protocols with different homeopaths over the last handful of years, we’ve opted to keep my remedies I’m taking anonymous. I can’t wait to find out what they are at my 7 week follow up! Stay tuned

How interesting! I just started a protocol but feel like I could use several more for addressing several conditions. Is this how everybody gets when they start digging into Homepathy?😃 I think I need 12 remedies.

@Lexie Haren I’ve also recently learned that when you address your major complaint correctly, that same remedy or protocol, could knock out a few other issues.🙏🏼🙏🏼
Miasm - an inherited or acquired predisposition to disease
A miasm is an inherited or acquired predisposition to disease. It's the deep layer of susceptibility that runs through a person's constitution and influences the kinds of health problems they tend to develop. The concept was introduced by Samuel Hahnemann (the 'father of homeopathy') who identified three primary miasms: Psora, Sycosis, and Syphilis (later expanded by other homeopaths). Today, we mainly focus on the Psoric, Sycotic, Syphillitic, Tubercular and Carcinogenic miasms. A miasmatic remedy is one that works at this deeper layer, addressing not just current symptoms but the underlying pattern that keeps pulling a person back into illness. One of the most common remedies we have been prescribing in RMDY Academy (the school I am currently in for my advanced practitioner of homeopathy cert) is Carcinosin. With the ever-increasing prevalence of cancer and cancer in family lines, it has been an integral part of so many individual's homeopathic protocols. It's not uncommon for me to prescribe a miasmatic remedy and a constitutional remedy for an initial prescription for an individual. This way, I KNOW that I am addressing the key components of the individuals case both in the present and if there is any predisposition that could be altering their vital force too. A few key points that may help you understand 'miasms' more: - if an individual keeps regressing even if they are on a well indicated constitutional or acute remdy, it may be a clear sign that there is some sort of deeper miasmatic layer that needs to be addressed first - your homeopath might choose a miasmatic remedy not because it matches your current symptom picture perfectly, but because it has an affinity for the deeper pattern at the core - understanding an individual's miasmatic pattern can help explain why two different individuals with similar illnesses can have totally different symptoms and their own way of expressing illness I'll dive into the specific miasms in a later post! What questions do you have about miasms?

I just learned about miasms, not having heard about them in the 3 plus decades I’ve been using homeopathy. I love how Homepathy seems to address everything that could be contributing to the state of dis.ease or imbalance. No other system of medicine does this.
Belladonna - for sudden, intense symptoms w/throbbing & heat
A great remedy for burns, skin conditions, and those times where you think you might have gotten too much sun and you now have a headache, exhaustion and dehydration! This is one of the top remedies I recommend beginners add to their homeopathic first aid kit. In fact, I just used mine YESTERDAY when I was working Bike Patrol out at the bike park and was in the sun ALL DAY. My body hasn't yet adapted to the summer season and it took it out of me. By the end of the day I was feeling really lethargic, had a headache and sun burn and just felt like no matter how much water, electrolytes or fruit I consumed would touch the dehydration. I started dosing belladonna - 2 drops in my 20oz of water, sips every 10-15 minutes and was finally able to get to a functionable state until I went to bed and could truly rest! Other use cases for Belladonna: - fever with hot skin (can be a great adjunct remedy to the flu blend when fever is present) - hot, dry skin - headaches with throbbing and heat - any throbbing pains with redness &/or swelling - sinus aches & pains with pressure - burns (sun burns or other types of burns) that just pulsate and throb and possibly blister Key notes: - symptoms are often aggravated by touch, noise or jarring movement - better with cold application - emotionally, there may be acute bouts of irritability or anger Can you think of a time where belladonna could have been helpful for you to have on hand? Or if you've used belladonna successfully, what was it for?! 🌞🔥

I’ve used it for fevers, when my daughters were young.
What's your biggest motivation for learning homeopathy? 🌱
just a lil' something so we all can get to know each other a bit better 😃

I’m addicted to learning and knew some, but definitely not enough about Homepathy. I also want to address my chronic health conditions, my family’s/ friends, and take care of our new rescue with Homeopathy, something I did with my other dog.
