Newbie to DTF
Hi, my name is Mercia, I am from Hermanus in South Africa. I am an embroidery digitizer, that own my own embroidery studio. I would love to know more about DTF to start printing and add as extra service to my clients. I do not own DTF printer yet, so this will be new to me.

Welcome Mercia.
Free Sample Abuse?
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone else offers free same packs? I ask because in the past 2 weeks I have been receiving excessive requests from all over the US. Like 1-3 per day. This has been highly unusual compared to past history. I am just not sure of how to take the sudden interrest in our free samples... Are we being trolled or are our ads or social media posts starting to take off? Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thank you. It was what I had hoped was going on.
Learning about members
Hi everyone, who here is already incorporating DTF into their business? How long have you been using it and any tips you can share? We’ve recently starting using it for orders when screen printing doesn’t make since due to quantity or lots of colors etc.

Yes, yes, and yes! Always halftone when possible. You almost forget you have a design on your shirt if you halftone it correctly. For us this technique has been a challenge. I'm sure there are a few graphic pros out there that can better advise. We are new, just started in June. Dtf is a great compliment to the screen printing industry. Best advice is to knock out colors and backgrounds when possible. Encourage designs with as much open spaces as feasable. Most average, every day people, will not even know it is dtf; when designs are relatively simple.

@Jerald Jolito same here. Half tone results can be a little squirrelly to dial in, but when done right... wow! Feels like the is no print on the shirt at all. It's amazing
Intro to Gregacy DTF Transfers
Hello everyone! This is Mylo with Gregacy DTF Transfers. We are a small shop in Conroe, Tx that primarily prints transfers and dabbles in competed tshirt sales. Our doors opened about 5 months ago, so we are still in our growth phase. Business is slowly trickling in more and more each month. We joined this page to give and receive advice from others within our business community. And to learn more about how to help our business grow. We run a Mimaki 300 and our prints are remarkable! Well, except compared to Jerald's. We bought identical transfers from several local shops and even a national one. We did a blind quality comparison test, both before and after pressing onto a shirt. Happy to say, we were only second to Merch Studio! His colors just have that extra pop! You really should buy test transfers from high quality printers like Merch Studio and some others to see where you stand within the industry. It can go a long way to helping you dial in your product!

I was led to believe that it is possible, but have not explored the options enough to change them. Can it be done through Digital Factory or does it require an alternate program? I saw the video(s) of you doing yours using, I believe, 2 different color scanning tools and softwares.

@Jerald Jolito Were you not satisfied with prior results, or is Barbieri better for multiple machines?
Problems with Powder & Training in ICC
Hello everyone. Some questions. 1. I use hot peel film, the powder I use is Super Plus DTF Powder, from DTF Super Store, I don't know its microns, but for a few weeks now I've been getting powder on the film, which didn't happen before. I want to think it's because of the change in humidity, here we stopped using the air conditioning and started using the heat, obviously the humidity changed from 70% to 40%. Do you think that could be the case? What would you recommend? It's very annoying because when the client presses their DTF, there are powder marks on them. 2. Do any of you offer any kind of training for the best use of Cadlink and the creation of ICC with NIx. 3. @Jerald Jolito when do you consider that your MS DTF Printing Business Blueprint course is ready. Greetings to all. Thank you very much.

Not sure if it is related, but one time I spilled a small amount of powder on the film just above the shaker beater bar while it was coming out of the powder trough. The spilled powder did not shake off enough and made adhesive speckles where there was no print. I was able to lightly scrap it off before pressing, but was a head ache. Moral here, make sure there is not powder on the film outside of the print when coming out of the shaker. If there is, your film might be moister than you think. Possibly the preheaters need adjustment or not working.
