I’ve been thinking deeply about something, and I would genuinely appreciate hearing different perspectives. Growing up, my family and I went through some very difficult experiences. I lost both of my parents, and I also lost my younger sibling. Those experiences changed me in ways I still struggle to fully explain. Today, I’m fortunate to be in a very different position financially. I now make around $10 million every month, and I’m grateful for the opportunities and blessings that have come my way. But there’s something I struggle with: guilt. Whenever I spend a significant amount of money on something I consider unnecessary, or simply enjoy money without feeling that I’m using it for a meaningful purpose, I sometimes feel guilty. I start thinking about what my family and I went through. I remember having so little, and I find myself questioning whether I have the right to enjoy what I have now. I know that money is meant to be enjoyed, and I also know that I shouldn’t feel guilty for surviving, working hard, and eventually becoming successful. But emotionally, it isn’t always that simple. So I’m asking people who have experienced something similar or simply have a different perspective: How do you learn to enjoy the life you worked so hard to build without feeling guilty about the past? How do you balance enjoying your wealth, helping others, honoring the people you’ve lost, and still allowing yourself to live without constantly feeling like you have to justify every dollar you spend?
