After a brief search, rediscovered the names of these tulip parts... The center of a tulip is called the pistil, which is the female reproductive organ. Surrounded by six pollen-bearing stamens, the central pistil is typically white or pale, featuring a three-lobed, sticky stigma at the top that receives pollen, a short style, and a base ovary that develops into seeds. Macro photography introduces us to a whole world of interesting things we tend to take for granted. I love nature.

While trying to stay warm, I took some photos of some snowflakes. I’m still getting the hang of this macro lens and my eyes don’t adjust well now that I’m getting old! But I thought this was fun.
