NOTICE: BREAK WEEK HAS BEGUN!
As you all know, BREAK WEEK will start and run from the 16th June to the 24th June (both dates included). This is a great opportunity to catch up on materials, do any available homework and get some community points! Things that are continuing as usual: - DAILY CHALLENGES I will be releasing an episode of a speaking course I made for every day I'm away! - The Community Section - Feel free to contact myself or @Jack Hastings, but please expect a longer waiting time in our responses. Things that will be PAUSED: - Live classes - Tiktok LIVEs We will DEFINITELY be continuing classes during summer, and take a week off every 6-8 weeks to account for this. If you are not happy with this arrangement, please understand that many academies close for MONTHS at a time. You can also cancel your subscription whenever you want! <3 Please leave a comment below if you have any doubts. Thank you all for a FANTASTIC last term, and I hope you enjoy your week of freedom away from me and my constant nagging!

Phrasal verb of the week: GET DOWN
Get down has so many meanings. It can mean to DANCE, to DUCK... But it also has another meaning. Can you guess the third meaning from these sentences? "Going to work in the morning gets me down." "If I give homework to my students, it really gets them down." Can you write 3 sentences in the comments, one for each type of GET DOWN? Let's go! Receive some feedback from me or @Jack Hastings and be as creative as you like!

PONY UP!
Lend and borrow are two words that everyone gets mixed up. Did you know that "pony up" is another way of saying "to pay something you owe", or to "spend a lot of money?" Here is a video that further exemplifies this fact. When was the last time you had to pony up for something? I had to pony up for the professional version of Zoom recently. It was worth it but my bank account is in PAIN!
