First Episode of the CFD Dose Podcast!
💻I'm excited to share with you the very first episode of my CFD Dose podcast! I was very pleased to have Jeff Franklin as my first guest to talk about the control volume approach and its connection to co-located grids. 🕸️🌊 If that rings a bell for you, feel free to check this one out ;)

Great episode. If I may suggest, you can do one about how AI is going to affect the industry in the nex couple of years. This is a highly looked for topic :)

Congratulations, Sarah 👏
What specs should I look for in a new laptop for CFD learning?
Previously where I worked in R&D, we used to deal with quite large elements and we ran those cases on workstations sometimes with 48 cores...etc I'm looking to buy a new personal laptop and I'm not sure what specs should I care for for my CFD learning, whether on OpenFOAM or other commercial software. Should I care for the graphics card as much as RAM, Storage and Processor? What about number of cores/threads...Any source I can read on that or experience?

@Mohamed Sayed That would be great. I looked for similar posts in the community here but no luck so far.

@Lourenço Sm Thank you so much. I was wondering if you may, what might change if I'm going to use commercial software, e.g. ANSYS, STAR CCM+ and other similar "heavy" ones?
Anyone Working/Studying in Germany?
I believe I'm about to get accepted in a Computational Simulation in Science - CFD Specialization in Wuppertal University in Germany and I had a few questions about the market there to assess the program and whether it would be a decent start to get into industry after finishing or in parallel. Anyone with any relevant insight I can contact?
Question/Discussion: How much does it matter which university you study at?
Hey everyone. So in today's virtual coffee, I mentioned that I'm looking to pursue a MSc degree, but the options for fundings/programs are not always that easily available, given one's personal background and resume, you might be needing to go for whatever chance that gets you closer. From your experience, how much does the ranking/reputation of a university or the country you're studying at matter? *Specifically Europe.* And how does that affect one's chance of getting into industry or doing PhD after MSc?

@Chris Ngigi Thanks for the insight, it adds more pieces to the whole postgraduate/industry picture, which is mostly vague for people out of it.
