With my experience I’ve learnt to keep them safe and help them learn, not to hold them back. Spot when: • There’s a genuine safety risk • They’re learning a new skill or movement pattern • They don’t yet have the strength, rotation, or awareness to do it safely • It helps them understand the correct timing and shape Don’t spot when: • They’re physically capable of doing it on their own • The issue is confidence rather than ability • They need to learn to correct and control the skill themselves • They’re becoming consistent — start reducing the spot
