Oh no, I missed this! Will a recording be available?
What eyes are you using?
How often do you remember you can choose your experience of something, beore it even begins? I watched a training recently, one I'd watched a number of times but this time I decided to watch it as if it was the first time I’d ever seen it. Not with the “I know this already” lens. Not with the mental notes of what I’d heard before. I deliberately decided to sit down with fresh eyes, as though it was brand new, to stay connected and find more gold. And find it I did. By carving out that time, by showing up with curiosity instead of yeah, yeah, already know this I created the space for magic to appear. For new insights to hit me and new ideas to take action on. It got me thinking, again, how often in life do we dull the potential gold that's available? How often do I decide what something will be like before I arrive, shutting the door on the possibility of surprise? I know I'm not alone. It’s easy to slip into autopilot: same meeting, same people, same story, same result, yet nothing is ever really the same. The moment we decide there is more to see, we open up the potential to something new. What's waiting for us when we drop the blinkers of expectation? Because expectation narrows us, while curiosity expands us. When we lead from fresh eyes, we don’t just change our experience. We change the experience for everyone we are with. People can feel when you’re actually present with them. So today I’m inviting you to explore: How can you show up as if it’s the first time? What magic might appear if you stop assuming you already know? Fresh eyes don’t just change what we see. They change everything around us. Much love - what eyes will you use today - Jules

I have a few examples of this! Not just the "I already know this" lens, but also noticing when I about to put a "this isn't relevant to me" lens on too. It's amazing when we notice this and drop that lens, how much more we hear. My most recent example is a book that I am reading. Started it ages ago with the "I already know this lens" and didn't get very far. Then a nudge recently had me pick it up again with more of a "I wonder what there is for me in this book?" lens. It seems like a different book!
