I got some official answers regarding the Growth Accelerator
I'm seeing a lot of people sharing their worries about the growth accelerator feature. You can check a very heated up discussion about it here If you don't know what it is, besically Skool will now promote your community with meta ads so you get promoted outside of skool. And they will take a cut of 30% comission for it. The biggest downside is that skool will also take a cut from people who join your community by clicking at your profile. That seemed unfair because you are actually paying comission a lot of times for your own promotional efforts. In a Skooler's post Sam Owens answered me that after I expressed those concerns: "remember who drove the traffic to put that member in the community before they saw your comment and clicked your profile. If the number of members in communities goes up 10x, you will still earn 7x more, even with the same strategy + 30% commission. This change actually helps "skool networking" people. Kinda crazy they are demanding their own demise." Good point, I understand how that seems unfair for some people but really appreciate the option to disable it. The downside is that you have to choose between not paying the comission and keeping your discovery relevant. Also, it was unclear for me if we paid comissions in the case of people joining from our links on posts and DMs. So let's say you make a post on the classifieds and if people joined from our link here, do we pay comission to Skool? Andrew Kirby assured me that won't happen.
